Mira burst into her mother's room, the door creaking as she entered. The scent of fresh perfume wafted through the air, mingling with the sound of Mrs. Claire's phone call. She was lying on the bed making a phone call.

"Mom!" Mira called out, rushing in, jumping into her mother's bed, and continuously calling her mother's name.

"Can't you see I'm making an important call, Mira?" Mrs. Claire said dissatisfied with her daughter's behavior.

"Forget about the call you're making, mum, there's good news," Mira said excitedly.

Ms. Claire furrowed her brow, "What good news?" she asked, dropping her phone beside her.

Mira was ecstatic and dancing on the bed. "Mama, I am so happy, my dream is finally coming true," she said joyfully.

Mrs. Claire asked, "What's the good news that has made you so happy? You're making me curious."

Mira explained, "I was in the sitting room having snacks when I saw Dad coming downstairs. I acted like a drama queen, I was as."

Mrs. Claire praised her daughter, "Yes, you are the queen of drama, the most beautiful."

Mira continued, "I started crying when I saw Dad coming down the stairs after visiting Lisa's room. He asked me what was wrong, and I begged him not to marry me off to Miller."

"Do you know what he said?" Mira asked.

Mrs. Claire shook her head, indicating that she didn't know.

Mira exclaimed, "Dad said I should forget about the marriage! I am not getting married to Miller. I am free!"

Mrs. Claire's face lit up with a wicked smile. "What about the marriage? Is it canceled or not?" she asked seriously.

Mira admitted, "I'm not sure if the marriage is canceled, but Dad went into Lisa's room before he left. Do you think he will cancel the marriage, or did he go to her room to ask her to marry that awful person?"

Mrs. Claire didn't respond; she just smiled cunningly.

Outside the room, Lisa was standing in front of her stepmother's room, listening to their conversation. Earlier, when she came out of her room to find something to eat, she heard Mira's excited voice coming from the stepmother's room. She didn't originally plan to eavesdrop, but when she heard them mention her father's name, she stopped to listen and find out what they were planning.

After the conversation was over, she tiptoed away from their door and went downstairs. Mira and her mother came out of the room laughing loudly and happily, and then they all went to the sitting room together.

Lisa was in the sitting room eating snacks while dinner was not yet ready, and she was also watching TV quietly. As she heard footsteps approaching her, she didn't need to look to know who they were.

"Oh, who do we have here?" Mira said, standing in front of Lisa, folding her hands and laughing.

Lisa didn't say anything or look at them, she just continued eating her snacks and taking a sip of her drink.

Mira and her mother's faces turned ugly, scowling like angry lions.

"You didn't even see me? Am I too small that you couldn't greet me, you...you..." Lisa's stepmother said angrily.

Lisa looked at her stepmother and stepsister's angry faces. She opened her mouth as if to say something, picked up her snacks, and threw them into her mouth, then continued watching her TV show.

Mira and her mother's faces turned green. "Are you not going to answer me?" Lisa's stepmother said angrily.

Lisa didn't bother with them and continued watching her movie with her snacks on her lap. She continued eating.
