Lisa's eyes widened in realization. "Is it because I made him eat the food he doesn't like the other day?" she asked, her voice filled with a hint of curiosity.

Jenkins nodded, his expression solemn. "Yes, Miss Lisa. That might have been the start of it. The Young Master is quite particular about his food, and he doesn't take kindly to being forced to eat something he dislikes."

Lisa remembered the incident clearly. She had been trying to get Lugard to eat more since he was being picky and not consuming enough nutrients. So, she had placed the food on his plate, despite his obvious discomfort. He had furrowed his brow but hadn't said anything, and she had thought she had won the small game

But now, it seemed, that small act of defiance might have had consequences she hadn't anticipated. Lugard's pride had been hurt, and he was now more distant and cold towards her.

Lisa smiled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Is that so?" she asked, looking at Jenkins with a hint of amusement. "So that's the reason for his cold attitude?"

Jenkins nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, Miss Lisa. The Young Master is quite proud, and he doesn't take kindly to being forced to do something he doesn't want to do."

Lisa's smile widened, and she shrugged her shoulders. "I don't care," she said, her voice firm. "I did it on purpose, and I won't apologize for it. He needs to learn to compromise and listen to others. Until he agrees to my request, I won't back down."

Jenkins' eyes widened slightly, clearly surprised by Lisa's boldness. "I see," he said, his voice neutral. "Well, Miss Lisa, it seems you have a plan. I hope it works depending on your request"

Lisa nodded, her confidence unwavering. "It will," she said, her voice firm. "I always get what I want, one way or another."

Lisa turned and walked away, leaving Jenkins with a confused expression. He was thinking about what Lisa had asked of the Young Master, and how she was determined to get him to agree to her request.

As he watched her go, Jenkins couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Lisa's boldness. She was a force to be reckoned with, and he did not doubt that she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.

But he also knew that the Young Master was not one to be trifled with. He was proud and stubborn, and he would not give in easily.

Jenkins shook his head, wondering what would happen next. He had a feeling that the battle of wills between Lisa and the Young Master was only just beginning.

Meanwhile, Lisa was walking away with a sense of determination. She knew that she had to be careful, but she was not afraid of the Young Master's cold attitude. She was convinced that she could wear him down, and get him to agree to her divorce.

As she walked, she couldn't help but think about what she had asked of him.
And she was willing to do whatever it took to get him to agree.

Lisa walked away with a sense of determination, knowing that she had just dropped a bombshell on Jenkins. She had asked the Young Master for a divorce, just one day after their wedding.

The assistant walks in, with a file in his hand, with a calm attitude. Do you know what madam requested from our young master? The butler asked.

The assistant face turned serious so you don't know yet.

The butler shook his head indicating that he didn't know anything.

She asked for a divorce, the assistant said, and walked away.

Jenkins was stunned, his mind reeling with the implications. He had never seen the Young Master so in love, so committed to someone. And now, Lisa was asking for a divorce?

He couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong. Had the Young Master's pride and stubbornness already driven Lisa away? Or was there something more to it?

As Lisa disappeared from view, Jenkins couldn't shake off the feeling that this was only the beginning of a long and messy battle. The Young Master would not let her go without a fight, and Lisa seemed determined to see this through.

The thought sent a shiver down Jenkins' spine. He had seen the Young Master's temper before, and he knew that this would not end well.

As she walked towards her room, she thought about Lugard's dark room and how he didn't let her in yesterday. She wondered what could be in that room that he was hiding. She felt a surge of curiosity and determination. She was going to find out what was behind that door.

As she approached Lugard's door, a maid came out of nowhere, looking at her with an unfriendly gaze, hatred, and jealousy written all over her face. "What are you doing here?" the maid asked, her voice cold and menacing.

Lisa raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the maid's hostility. What was going on here?

Lisa asked the maid with a cold face, "How is that your business if I want to enter my husband's room?"

The maid's expression didn't change, but Lisa could see a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "I was just instructed to...to keep an eye on things," the maid stammered.

Lisa raised an eyebrow. "Instructed by whom?" she demanded.

The maid hesitated, then said, "By the master himself."

Lisa's eyes narrowed. "I see," she said, her voice dripping with ice. "And what exactly is it that you're trying to protect him from?"

The maid took a step back, her eyes darting nervously to the side. "I don't know what you're talking about, milady," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The maid's unfriendly gaze sparked a memory in Lisa's mind. She remembered the incident at the swimming pool, where someone had pushed her in, but she hadn't seen the person's face. The same feeling of hostility and malice that she had sensed then, she saw now in the maid's eyes.

Lisa's instincts told her that there was a connection between the two incidents. She took a step closer to the maid, her voice firm. "Tell me, what do you know about the person who pushed me into the swimming pool?" she demanded.

The maid's eyes widened, and she took a step back, her hands trembling. "I don't know what you're talking about, milady," she stammered again.

But Lisa was not convinced. She saw the guilt written all over the maid's face. "Don't lie to me," Lisa said, her voice cold. "I know you know something. Tell me, or I'll make sure you regret it."

The maid's eyes darted nervously around the hallway as if she were searching for an escape or a way to summon help. But Lisa stood her ground, her eyes fixed intently on the maid, waiting for her to crack.

The maid's eyes flashed with indignation as she spoke. "Do you forget that we wanted to accompany you, but you refused? And none of us followed you. How will I know what happened? Are you not the one who fell into the pool yourself?"

Lisa's smile faltered for a moment, but then she regained her composure. "Is that so?" she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "She looks at the maid's close, her eyes narrowing slightly.

The maid took a step closer, her voice taking on a confrontational tone. "Yes, that's so. And don't think for a moment that we don't know what's going on. We know all about your little tricks and games."

The air was thick with tension as the two women faced off, their eyes locked in a silent challenge.

Lisa smiled sweetly at the maid, her eyes glinting with determination. "Is that so?" she said again, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You think I'd be foolish enough to fall into the pool myself? I think not."
