— Dancing with the Devil
THE SMOKE FROM her raspberry colored lips deeper into the air. It had been a few weeks before college would begin, and Diana had been particularly excited for this party. She danced to the shitty music that played with a spliff in between her two fingers. It was about two in the morning, prime partying time. Her hips swayed to the beat as the neon lights glazed over her skin. She'd been high off a variety of substances already and all she wanted to do was enjoy her high. Her eyes peeled open, accepting the vision of purple and green lights taking over.
"Quite a dancer, are you?" A voice came from behind her gruffly breaking the silence. She smiled and turned to meet his gaze. He was a gorgeous guy, taller than her, and she'd already been around 5'10.
Diana didn't reply, only continuing to dance to the song. He chuckled and looked amongst the crowd for a moment.
"What's your name?" He yelled out. Diana looked over to him and kept her mischievous expression.
"Call me Dizzy," She answered in a shout.
He grinned and approached her slowly. His hands found her hips as they began to dance. Diana offered him the joint that had been placed between her fingers which he gladly accepted, taking a long drag.
"What do they call you?" Diana quizzed, the boy exhaled and handed the spliff back.
"Jace," He replied and she smirked. She liked that name. She liked him. Especially as he whispered meaningless words into her ear as they surfed the party together.
Talking led them almost nowhere except real emotions. Emotions neither wanted to tackle, so once the small questions were asked, they had nothing else to do besides shutting down verbally and picking up physically.
It was when the spliff had reached its end, and the party reached its high, Dizzy reeled Jace in, and led him up the stairs of the house they'd been partying in. She'd been in a daze as his hands and lips roamed her body.
One thing led to another, and both of their outfits ended up being discarded onto the floor.
Unfortunately, this would not be the last time they'd have an encounter. It'd actually be much sooner than later.

DIANA TYPICALLY MARCHED to the beat of her own drum. Despite staying out of the spotlight, she shined brightly in the shadows attracting people who her best friend, Effy Stonem, did not. The girls were both mysterious, drawing in attention, but somehow Effy always found herself in the center of it all.
This helped with their dynamic over time. They had been friends since Primary school, they'd been one another's first best friends, and tightest bond. Even if they weren't as close as they were, their love ran deep, much to Effy's dismay.
