THE STUDENT LOUNGE felt like only place Dizzy could get a peace of mind during school hours. She sat beside Effy and Pandora, eyeing Jace who had been flirting with a group of girls who were rather ugly. Her skin crawled as she watched. She had to look away from the train wreck.

She watched as Eddy shared a look with Freddie. Naomi noticed this too.

"What's going on there?" She asked the girl.

"Nothing," Effy deadpanned. "Shut up."

The girl walked off toward Cook as Emily approached them. Dizzy smiled at the girl even though she'd been there for Naomi.

"Hey," Emily greeted before sending a sweet grin to Pandora and Dizzy.

The lights were shut off causing the students to bug. Suddenly, Doug appeared making Dizzy immediately roll her eyes from the dramatics.

"In ancient times before the now there was an almighty blazing row between two kingdoms tall and proud," He spoke, the visuals of people sword fighting behind him. "How to decide this without blood?"

One of the people who worked at the school turned the light back on sending a disappointed look at Doug.

"Right, settle down everyone," She advised the students, walking in. "Well, thank you Doug. Fascinating."

"Let's put it to a vote!" Doug shouted. "Bit of theater you know. Impact."

"Okay, it's simple," The woman said to the students who say before her. "We want a student president. This will be a democratically empowered position for a talented individual to proactively seek excellence in matters of student representation. And you my little education consumers will choose this president by vote. The election is next week so if you wish to stand, please see Doug after assembly."

"Can I just—" Doug began before pausing. "I've got a whole rhyme worked out for that bit."

"No. Please no," The woman told him. Dizzy couldn't hear anymore as they walked away from the scene.

JACE APPROACHED DIZZY with a smirk as she rummaged through her locker. She sent him a glare of death. She scrunched up her face at his presence. Her annoyance was pungent, yet he still stood there with a shit eating grin. Dizzy shook her head, unable to put up with it anymore.

"Fuck off," Dizzy spat as she continued to search for the baggy of pills she had in her locker. She needed something to take the edge off of this horrific day as she dug through her bag.

"I don't suppose you want to be student president. Searching for your resumé, Dizzy?" He asked playfully shaking off his hand from her lower back. He furrowed his eyebrows. "What'd I do?"
