—Effy
ALL WAS GOOD. For now. Effy had been ignoring the very persistent Dizzy. She's been nowhere to be seen with Freddie. She grew more and more worried the less and less she seen or heard from Effy. Jace had been awfully loyal. She knew Effy very well, and she knew what happens when Effy went off the rails. Sometimes the world was too much. Effy was remarkably difficult to read until finally she snapped and she was read like a book.
Jace had been vigilant, watching Freddie and asking questions, but apparently they were good. However, everything was good until it wasn't.
School was rough. It was nearing the end and every single day grew tougher. Dizzy ran into Freddie leaving college. He looked like he hadn't shaved or bathed in a while. Their eyes met shortly like he didn't want to meet hers.
Dizzy swallowed and found Jace. He said it was nothing, but she was rarely wrong. Not when it came to someone who was like a sister to her.
The A- levels were coming up and despite Dizzy's worries, she needed to focus on her future. Which meant she had to find away to squish helping Effy into her schedule.
The next day, Dizzy decided to beat Freddie to Effy's house, leaving class earlier. She knocked on the Stonem's door and after a while her answer to where Effy was answered when the girl opened the door a crack.
"Who is it?" Effy asked as if she didn't recognize the girl on the other side of the door.
"Effy, it's me," Dizzy says leaning toward her. "I just wanted to check in. I haven't seen you at college. Is every thing alright?"
"Who's Effy?" The girl asked and Dizzy let out an awkward chuckle.
"You," Dizzy replied.
"Oh, no. I'm Elizabeth, you must be Diana?" Effy had questioned. Dizzy played along and nodded. "Right, wanna come in?"
She widened the door for Dizzy, who stepped in. It smelled of cigarettes and vodka which made sense when she stepped in a puddle.
"I'm having a party later, Diana. Jelly, biscuits, and tea," Effy informed her. She spun around as if she were dancing around to music Dizzy couldn't hear.
She grabbed Dizzy's bag and led her into her living room. Tossing it by the stairs.
"My servant will grab that no worries, Diana. Want to have a dance?" Effy inquired while going into her living room. She grabbed a bottle of vodka and held it out. Dizzy took it and took a quick swig, needing it all of a sudden.
Effy seemed to have moved her stereo downstairs. She turned it on a cranked dancing music. It was classical, yet she danced like it was a rave. She grabbed Dizzy's hand and the bottle taking a sip as she jumped.
Dizzy began to dance too. Unsure of what beat they were dancing to because this one was all violin.
"Diana," Effy giggled while her friend danced. Dizzy looked to the girl and was shocked when Effy kissed her, pulling her in by her hand.
