— Later
A SPLIFF DANGLED from Dizzy's lips as she sat on her roof. She had always been a decent climber. Jace had left earlier in the day. She'd been distancing herself, so it was only right he decided to leave. She'd done this to herself. Self isolation was the easiest way to stop the questions. Her emotions weren't something she wanted to feel right now. That's also why her only companion was a drug that took it away.
She skipped out on school and found her only friend in the finest greenery she could get her hands on. Her house wouldn't be hers sooner than later. The pain of that along with her MIA father was too much.
"Gorgeous? That you?" Cook quizzed from down below. She looked down at him and scoffed.
"Not in the mood, Cookie. Why don't you just fuck off?" She yelled down to him and he shoved his hands in his pocket to hold up another joint. Rolling her eyes, she climbed back into the house.

A BREATHY SIGH left her mouth as she stared at her living room ceiling she was laying shoulder to shoulder with Cook as they smoked a joint. He had told her the story of his arrest and what he was going to do.
"You're a good guy," Dizzy muttered as she passed him the spliff. Cook sat up at her words, shaking his head.
"Why?" He asked sourly.
"Because I say so," Dizzy responded sitting up. "I wish things could've worked out differently, Cookie. For you. For me. Maybe it wouldn't be Jace lodged up my arse. Maybe..."
"Nah. You're too good for the Cookster. You think so at least. Too bad," Cook quipped. Dizzy looked at him and sighed. She placed her lips on his and kissed him. It didn't last too long. It was slow and surprisingly tender.
"Too bad it was always Effy and Jace," Dizzy whispered. Cook shot up.
"I better split before your boyfriend find us naked," Cook joked making Dizzy roll her eyes. He handed her the spliff. "Later, Gorgeous."
