The atmosphere at the stadium was electric as the sun cast a warm glow over the eager crowd. Kavya, surrounded by the other wives of the cricketers, felt a mix of excitement and nerves. She had always loved the energy of a live match, but today was different; Abhay had called her earlier, playfully demanding a "special good luck kiss" before he took to the field.

As the other wives teased Kavya about Abhay's request, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Devisha: (nudging Kavya) "So, did you give him that special kiss?"

Kavya: (laughing nervously) "Maybe! It was just a quick peck!"

Sanjana: "Oh, come on! You know he needs all the luck he can get with how competitive this match is!"

Kavya chuckled, but inside, her heart fluttered at the thought of her and Abhay. She wanted nothing more than to support him and share in the excitement of the game.

As the match started, the energy in the stadium surged. The sound of cheers and drums filled the air, and the excitement was palpable. Kavya cheered alongside her friends, her heart racing as she watched Abhay take his position on the field.

The game was intense, with every run scored by the team sending waves of exhilaration through the crowd. Abhay played with determination, his focus unwavering. With each boundary he hit, Kavya felt her heart swell with pride. She couldn't help but scream his name along with the other wives, waving her arms in encouragement.

However, the atmosphere shifted dramatically when the camera panned to Abhay's ex-girlfriend, a well-known figure in the cricketing world. Kavya's stomach dropped as the camera lingered on her, showcasing her excitement every time Abhay made a great play. It was a stark contrast to the cheers for Kavya; instead, she felt the weight of her presence overshadowing the moment.

When the camera captured both Abhay and his ex after he scored a century, Kavya's heart sank. The two were in the same frame, smiling and basking in the moment, and she could feel the creeping doubt gnawing at her heart.

Kavya: (whispering to herself) "Why does it feel like this is a competition?"

The other wives noticed her discomfort and quickly surrounded her, offering consolation.

Anushka: "Hey, don't let her get to you! You're the one he's with now!"

Ritika: "Exactly! You're the one he wants to impress!"

But no amount of reassurance could shake Kavya's unease. As the match progressed, every time Abhay dived to save a run or catch the ball, she noticed his ex jumping up in exaggerated excitement. It was maddening. The way she clapped and cheered felt too personal, too familiar.

When India finally won the match, the stadium erupted in cheers, but Kavya felt hollow inside. As the players celebrated, she watched as Abhay's ex made her way toward the field, weaving through the throngs of fans and players.

Kavya: (biting her lip) "I need to get out of here."

As Abhay congratulated his teammates, Kavya stood off to the side, feeling increasingly invisible. Then, she saw it happen—his ex approached him, her arms open wide, and before Kavya could process her emotions, Abhay awkwardly smiled and embraced her. It was a brief hug, but it felt like a dagger to Kavya's heart.

Kavya: (whispering) "No... not like this."

Feeling overwhelmed, Kavya turned to the other wives.

Kavya: "I... I have some work at home. I'll see you all later."

Before they could protest or ask what was wrong, she slipped away, her heart heavy as she walked through the stadium, avoiding eye contact with everyone, including Abhay.

As Kavya made her way home, tears threatened to spill. She felt foolish for letting her insecurities get the best of her, but the sight of Abhay's ex had struck a nerve. How could he still be so polite, so friendly? Did he still have feelings for her?

When she arrived home, she busied herself with household chores, trying to push the painful thoughts aside. But all she could think about was how close they had been, only to feel that distance again with just one moment. She couldn't shake the feeling that maybe she had jumped into this relationship too quickly, that perhaps it was all too good to be true.

After the interview wrapped up, Abhay felt a rush of adrenaline. The questions had been challenging, but he'd handled them well. However, his thoughts were consumed with Kavya. He couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to find her. With a determined stride, he made his way to where the wives had gathered, expecting to see her cheerful smile among them.

As he approached, he noticed that the atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and chatter. But something felt off; Kavya was nowhere to be seen. He scanned the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, but she was absent.

Abhay: (frowning) "Hey, have you all seen Kavya?"

The other wives paused, exchanging glances.

Sanjana: "Oh, Abhay! She left a while ago. We thought she was with you."

Abhay: (confused) "Left? Why? Did something happen?"

Ritika: (noticing his concern) "She seemed a bit upset. We tried to cheer her up, but she didn't want to talk about it."

Abhay's heart sank at her words. He could feel a knot forming in his stomach.

Abhay: "Upset? What did she say?"

Devisha: "Just that she had some work to do at home. She didn't seem like herself, though."

The weight of their words pressed heavily on him. Abhay's mind raced with worry. Had something he said or done during the match affected her? Or was it something else entirely? He couldn't let this go. He needed to find her and understand what was going on.

Abhay: (determined) "I need to talk to her. Thanks for letting me know."

He quickly excused himself from the gathering, his mind focused solely on Kavya. The drive home felt endless, each passing moment intensifying his concern.
