Playful Teasing and Secret Admiration - SM

A/N: A philosophical approach to romance is highly fruitful as the week begins. Look at things in context rather than in isolation. By Tuesday (and through the middle of the week), your logical side is in control, but remember when you're voicing your thoughts that the listener may be more emotional. Gentle, now! Friday and Saturday look super, with the possibility of a sweet stolen moment with a certain someone. Keep your plans for Sunday loose. There's lots happening, and something spectacular could suddenly come up.

Seungmin had a knack for it. No matter the situation, he could always find a way to gently tease Sakura about her not-so-secret crush on him. It wasn't malicious, never hurtful, but more like a playful hum that ran through their interactions.

Their friends, a tight-knit group that spent most of their evenings at the local arcade or huddled in a cafe, were well aware of the dynamic. They'd often exchange knowing glances when Seungmin, with that familiar glint in his eye, would drop a casual remark that sent a flush creeping up Sakura's neck.

One particularly rainy Tuesday, the group was crammed into their usual booth at "The Daily Grind," sipping on lukewarm lattes. Sakura was engrossed in a manga, occasionally snickering to herself.

"Still reading those cheesy romances, Sakura?" Seungmin asked, leaning back in his seat, a smirk playing on his lips. "Dreaming of your knight in shining armor, perchance?"

Sakura nearly choked on her latte, her cheeks instantly warming. "It's not cheesy! And no, I'm not!" she retorted, though her eyes darted to him for a split second before returning to her book.

Seungmin chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that made Sakura's stomach do a little flip. "Sure, sure," he said, taking a sip of his own coffee. "Just making sure you haven't given up on your pursuit of true love."

Another time, they were at the arcade, the air thick with the cacophony of flashing lights and electronic beeps. Sakura was struggling with a claw machine, her brow furrowed in concentration as she tried to snag a particularly fluffy cat plushie.

Seungmin sidled up beside her, observing her futile attempts. "You know," he mused, "some people say persistence is key. Especially when you're trying to win someone's heart... or a giant plushie." He winked, and Sakura felt her cheeks burn again.

"It's just a plushie, Seungmin!" she huffed, but a small smile betrayed her annoyance. She knew exactly what he was hinting at.

It wasn't just the overt teasing. Sometimes, it was subtle. If Sakura mentioned a new movie she wanted to see, Seungmin would casually say, "Oh, a romantic comedy, I bet? Perfect for a date." And he'd look at her with that innocent, yet knowing, expression. Or if she complimented his new haircut, he'd playfully preen, asking, "Is that your way of saying you approve, Sakura? Trying to win me over?"

Despite the constant blushes and the mild exasperation, Sakura secretly cherished these moments. They were a reminder of their unique bond, a comfortable rhythm of playful jabs and unspoken understanding. She knew Seungmin was just being Seungmin – friendly, warm, and yes, always just a little bit of a tease. And even though she'd deny it to her dying breath, a tiny part of her hoped that one day, his teasing might just turn into something more.
