Asgore is the king of the Underground and the father of the late Asriel Dreemurr and Chara. He is gentle at heart, having great love of gardening, Golden Flower Tea, and his former wife's signature Butterscotch Pie. Although he's sworn to release the monsters from the Underground by absorbing seven human souls, he is reluctant to kill any other humans due to the loss of his children and subsequent estrangement from his wife, Toriel. Regardless, he faces Frisk in his castle on the Neutral Route out of duty to his subjects, going as far as to destroy the MERCY button to ensure the battles conclusion.
Tier: At least 8-B
Classification: Boss Monster, King of the Underground
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman physical characteristics, afterimage creation (Can move fast enough to create afterimages, and his trident leaves a blur that is wide enough to cover the battle box), boss monster physiology, resistance to social influencing
Attack Potency: At least City Block level (Has an ATK rating of 80, making him one of the strongest monsters in the Underground, thus being significantly stronger than Undyne to the point that she considers killing Frisk to be mercy compared to what Asgore could do to them. He is a Boss Monster, the strongest type of all monsters. Far more powerful than Flowey, who, even with higher amounts of LV, could have never made it past Asgore without Frisk injuring him first), can ignore conventional durability with SOUL magic
Speed: Massively Hypersonic+(Vastly superior to Tsunderplane, who can move faster than lightning. Effortlessly avoided all of Undyne's attacks when she was in her youth, all while refusing to fight back)
Lifting Strength: Class M (Should be superior to Flowey's vines, due to the latter still having magical properties and Asgore being far superior to him)
Striking Strength: At least City Block level
Durability: At least City Block level (Traded multiple hits with Frisk who had higher determination and better items than when they fought Undyne and Mettaton EX. Tanked an attack from a young Undyne, who was already strong enough to knock him down)
Stamina: Superhuman (Fought a long battle with Frisk without slowing down until he was completely unable to fight. Battled during the war against humans and survived)
Range: At least Extended Melee Range with Trident, Tens of Meters with Fire Magic
Standard Equipment: His Trident
Intelligence: Presumably Gifted (Asgore has possibly ruled the kingdom of monsters since before they were banished Underground thousands of years ago, and he is far more skilled in battle than even Undyne is. He possesses knowledge about resets and how he has killed Frisk before. However, in other regards he is rather native)
Weakness: Standard monster weakness. Often refuses to fight at full power. He may falter in the midst of battle if he is doing something he knows it's wrong, such as fighting a child.
Notable Attacks and Techniques:
•Fire Magic: Similar to Toriel, Asgore is a master of fire magic, using it for numerous techniques. These include calling down undulating waves of fire, creating enormous, inescapable walls of fire, circles of fireballs which close in on his opponent, creating large trails of fireballs which track the enemy, and releasing massive bursts of dozens upon dozens of fireballs which are immensely difficult to dodge.
•Trident: Asgore has shown to be extremely proficient with his trident, swiping it across the battlefield in an attempt to hit his opponent. The trident will leave behind trails of magic, making it impossible to dodge by conventional means. When the magic is blue, his opponent must remain stationary. This is most effective against opponents without intel on Asgore as they will not be aware of these effects.
