"Feast your eyes, Captain. All of them faithful hands before the mast. Every man is worth his salt, and crazy to boot." Gibbs told us as he showed us the crew he found for us. "So this is your able-bodied crew?" Will asked with doubt. About replying, Jack walked further and stopped by an amn with a parrot on his shoulder. I wore my new clothes Jack gave me, and it was so much better than the dress I wore before. "You, sailor!" Jack said. "Cotton, sir." Gibbs introduced him. "Mr. Cotton, do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death?" The man just looked at him then at me without saying a word. "Answer, man!" He yelled. "He's a mute sir." Gibbs said, and I closed my eyes in annoyance. "Poor devil had his tongue cut out. So he trained the parrot to talk for him. No one's yet figured out how." He said, and our eyes landed on the parrot. "Mr. Cotton's Parrot, same question." Jack said. "Ah! Wind in your sails! Wind in your sails!" The parrot yelled, and I looked at it even more confused. "Mostly we figured that means 'Yes'." Gibbs said. "Of course it does. Satisfied." He said and looked at Will.

"Well, you've proved they're mad!" Will said, and before anyone could say anything, a female voice was heard. "And what's the benefit for us?" She asked. Jack slowly walked over to her and lifted the hat that covered her face. "Anamaria." He greeted her and got a slap in his face in return, making him face us. While Will and I looked at him with raised eyebrows. "I suppose you didn't deserve that one, either." Will said. "No, that one I deserved." Jack said, and the woman nodded behind him. "You stole my boat!" She said angry. "Actually..." Jack started but got interrupted by another SLP. "Borrowed. Borrowed, without permission, but with every intention of bringing it back to you." He tried to defend himself. "But you didn't!" She yelled at him. "You'll get another one." He told her happily. "I will." She said, pointing her finger at him. "A better one." Will now say. "A better one." Jack also said happily. "That one," Will said, pointing at the interceptor. "What one?" Jack asked confusedly and looked at the intorceptor. "That one?!" He asked angrily, and everyone looked at him. "Aye, that one." He said, "What say you?" Jack asked, and the woman immediately yelled. "Aye!" And the other man followed her action.

They walked towards the boat while Anamaria snatched her hat out of Jack's grip. "No, no. It's frightful bad luck to bring a woman aboard, sir." Gibbs said in panic. "Thanks, Gibbs." I said making them look at me. "Don't worry, love. I'll take you with me." He said and shot Gibbs a sharp look as we walked aboard.

We sailed for a long time, and there was a huge storm outside. When the rain started, Jack put me in the captain quarters and told me to stay there as long as there's the heavy storm. I sat there on the bed waiting for the storm to end. I had my arms wrapped around myself, looking outside. A few minutes later, the doors opened, and Jack entered the room. "Hello there, love." He greeted me, and I stooped up when I saw him. "Are we there yet?" I asked, and he shook his head. "Not yet. But soon. I want you to rest until we're there." He said and pointed to the bed. "Where will you stay?" I asked him, and he nodded over to the table and the chair. "I'll just stay over there." I looked at the chair and at him. "I wouldn't mind you sleeping in the bed." I told him and looked away from him. "Wow, love. I didn't know you wanted me that bad." He mumbled, and I looked at him with a red face. "I didn't mean it like this—I don't want you—I mean, I do—I..." I slapped my hand against my head and hid my face in a pillow. I heard Jack's laugh, and the mattress sank as he sat on the other side of the bed. "I guess I take you on on your offer," he said. I looked over to him and watched as he took off his boots and put his jacket on the floor next to the bed.

I crawled under the blanket and looked at Jack as he blew out the candle and the room went dark. I was facing the other side of the wall. "Good night, love." He said, and I decided to also sleep for now. "Night, Jack." I mumbled and closed my eyes. It stayed quiet for a long time. I still wasn't able to sleep when I felt an arm wrap around my body. He probably thought I was asleep, so I didn't do anything and kept quiet. He was warm, and I relaxed under his touch until I finally drifted off to sleep.
