I was sitting on the deck of the Black Pearl. Jack had gone on land to get something while the rest of us waited. "Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum. Drink, and the devil had done for the rest. Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum." Gibbs sang as he walked over deck. I looked onto the ocean again, and a little while later I noticed a grave, and somebody sat in there paddling over to us. "Gibbs, he's back." I said, and we both quickly went to the side to help him up. When Gibbs went to reach his hand, he got a skeleton's leg pressed to his hand. "Not quiet accoding to plan." Gibbs said. Jack pulled me to his side, and Cotten put a blanket over Jack's shoulders. We're not together or anything; it's just normal for us. "Comolications arose, ensued, and were overcome." He said and walked over the deck. "You got what you went in for, then?" Gibbs asked. He hummed in agreement. We then walked around the mast and were met with a not-so-happy crew. "Captain, I think the crew, meaning me as well, were expecting something a bit more, shiny." Gibbs said.
"But with the Isla de Muerta going pear-shaped, raclaimed by the sea with the treasure." Gibbs said. "And the Royal Navy chasing us around the Atlantic." Another pirate said. "And the hurricane." Another said. "All in all, it seems some time since we did a speck of honest pirating." Gibbs said, and Jack looked at the crew. "Shiny?" "Aye Shiny." Gibbs confirmed. "Is that how you're all feeling? That perhaps dear old Jack is not serving your best interests as a captain?" "Ar, walk the planks." Cotton's parrot said, and Jack immediately pointed his weapon at the parrot. "What did the bird say?!" He yelled. "Do not bame the bird," another pirate said. Jack then looked at. "What do you say, love?" "I'm not interested in gold or silver coins. Still. We need food and something to drink. And for that, we need something more shiny." I pointed out. Jack nodded slowly. "Show us what is on that piece of cloth there." The pirate in front of us demanded. When suddenly the half-dead monkey came out of nowhere. The monkey took the clothe and started running. Jack pulled out his gun and shot at the monkey. "You know that doesn't do any good," Gibbs told him. "It does me." He just said annoyed.
Marty picked up the cloth and looked at it. "It's a key," he stated, and Jack walked over to him. "No. Much better. It's a drawing of a key." Jack said he was showing the cloth to us. "Gentelmen, what do keys do?" He asked. "keys...unlock things?" One said. "An whatever this key unlocks inside, there's something valuable. So we're setting out to find whatever that key unlocks." Gibbs said, Excited, Jack nodded, "No." He then answered to our surprise. "If we don't have the key, we can't open whatever we don't have that it unlocks. So, what purpose would be served in finding what ever needs to be unlocked, which we don't have, without first having found the key that unlocks it?" Jack asked, and in annoyance, I closed my eyes. "So we are going after this key." Kibbs stated. "You're not making any sense at all. Any more questions?" He asked. "So, do we have a heading?" Marty assked. "Ah! A heading." Jack said and pulled out his compass.
"Set sail in a...uh...general..." He pointed with his finger in my direction, then at another, my direction, then another again, "That-way direction." He said, pointing in another direction. " Jack said. "Capain." Gibbs said. "Come on, snap to, and make sail. You know how this works. Go on." He said and walked through the crew. I just stood there with Marty and Gibbs. "Have you noticed lately that the captain seems to be acting a bit strange...?" Marty asked. "Setting sail without knowing his own heading. Something's got Jack vexed, and mark my words, what bodes ill for Jack SP. arrow bodes ill for us all." Gibbs said, and I was about to respond, but Jack from the other side of the ship started yelling. "Y/N! Come over here, dear!" He yelled, and I quickly went over to him. "What's up, Jack?" I asked him, and he pulled out two swords. "It's time for your training," he said and handed me a sword. "Right, thanks," I said and took it. Jack then started attacking me with the sword, and I quickly blocked it.
Since Tortuga I needed to learn how to fight, so I asked Jack to train me. We have sword training every now and then when we have time. I actually love it. I never bet him though; he's better than he looks in the first place.
I was again lying on the ground, defeated. "Come on, love, get up from the ground." He said and pulled me up. "Thanks, Jack." I said and put my sword away. "You're getting better and better," he told me. "You really think so?" "Yeah, I have to fight harder every time." He grinned and stood up. "I'll get something to drink; you just stay here." He said and left.
Just a few minutes later, Jack ran up on deck and yelled. "On deck! Scurry! I want movement! Movement! I want movement!" He yelled, waking up everyone on the ship who was sleeping. "Lifet the skin up! Keep your loof! Haul those sheets!" He kept yelling while I sat here on deck, very confused. Most men now run on deck and start doing their work. "Run them! Run! Keep running! Run as if the devil himself is upon us!" He yelled. "Do we have a heading!?" Gibbs yelled. "Ahh! Ooo, Run! Land!" He yelled, then he noticed me. "Y/n! Come here!" He yelled, and confused, I quickly walked over to him. He grabbed my arms and walked over to the quarters with me. "You stay in here until we reach land." He said and closed the door of his room. Wow. "What the fuck is going on?" I mumbled. I still heard muffled screams, but I just stayed in here like Jack told me and waited.
