Jelousy and love

I was sitting together with Marty, and we were just talking a little bit while I listened to Jack's, Gibb's, and Elizabeth's conversation. "Beckett?" "Yes, they're signed." LIzz answered to Jack's chest, who looked confused by his name. "Lord Cutler Backett of the East India Trading Company." "Will was working for Becket and never said a word. Beckett wants the compass. Only one reason for that." Gibbs mumbled. "Ofcourse. He wants the chest." Jack said. "Yes, he said something about a chest." Elizabeth confirmed. "If the company controls the chest, they control the sea." "And truly discomforting notion." Jack said. "And bad. Bad for ever mother's son who calls himself a pirate." Gibbs said, and I then stopped listening to the conversation.

Since Elizabeth was here, Jack didn't say a word to me anymore or even look at me. I'm getting kind of frustrated over here. "I'll grab some food." Marty said, and I slowly nodded as Marty walked off. I sat on the ground and let my feet dangle off the ship through the fence. A person soon sat next to me, and I didn't need to turn around to know it was Jack.

"So you're finally done ignoring me?" I asked him after some seconds. "Now, come on, love; there's no way I would ignore you." He answered. "But you did. Ever since my dear sister showed up." I told him and didn't even look at him. "Is this jealousy I just noticed?" Jack asked, and I could practically see his grin. I sighed annoyed and turned away. "No. And if you're only here toannoy me. You can just go."

Jack leaned in a little closer, his voice low and teasing. "Ah, love, you've got it all wrong. I wasn't ignoring you. I just—well, let's say I've been... distracted." I rolled my eyes, still looking away from him. "Distracted by Elizabeth, you mean?" Jack let out a soft chuckle. "Elizabeth? Nah. She's trouble, always has been. You, though—well, you're different." I finally turned to face him, raising an eyebrow. "Different how?" Jack's grin softened, and for once, he seemed a little less playful. "You've got me thinking about things I don't usually think about. Things like... feelings, responsibility... sticking around."

I blinked, not expecting that from him. "Jack Sparrow, responsible? You must be joking." He held up a hand, a serious look on his face—well, as serious as Jack could manage. "No joke, love. You see, most things in life are simple. Ships, treasure, rum... easy enough to figure out. But you? You're a puzzle. And I reckon, no matter how far I sail, you're the one thing I don't want to lose."

He paused, watching my reaction carefully, then leaned back, his usual grin creeping back onto his face. "So, you see, love... I might be a pirate, but I've got a heart. And whether you believe it or not, it's pointed straight at you." I stared at Jack for a moment, trying to decide if he was being serious or just his usual charming self. His eyes held mine, and for once, there wasn't a hint of mischief behind them.

I was unsure, and my look must've said enough because just a second later he pulled out his compass. "If you don't believe me, love. I'll show you." He said and opened his compass and laid it in his hands so we both could watch. The compass turned for a moment before it landed on me. I slowly stood up and walked around Jack, only for the compass needle to follow wherever I went. I sat back down and looked back at Jack.

I couldn't help but smile a little and look at him. Jack's grin was wider now, but his expression turned serious as he spoke. "I couldn't find the chest or Davy Jones's key because they're not my biggest wish anymore. My biggest wish... what I want most in life... is to be with you."

His words hung in the air, and I felt my breath catch. I blinked at him, taken aback. Did he really mean that? I searched his face for any hint of mischief, but all I found was sincerity. "Really?" I finally asked, my voice softer than I intended. I was surprised but hopeful, wanting to believe him. He nodded, leaning in closer. "Aye, love. Pirate's honor." A smile crept onto my lips, and I couldn't help but feel a warmth spreading through me. "You're impossible, Jack Sparrow... but I think I believe you."

In that moment, everything felt right, like the compass was leading us to something more than treasure—something real. I smiled at Jack, feeling warm inside. "If you really mean that..." He leaned closer, looking into my eyes. "I do, love. No adventure is worth much without you." I felt brave, and I nodded. "Okay, I'll take that chance." Jack's smile grew, and everything else around us disappeared. It was just us. I took a breath and leaned in, closing the space between us. Our lips met, and I felt a rush of happiness as he kissed me back, holding my face gently.
