Jamie POV

_Alone with Thoughts_

I sat on my couch, surrounded by silence. My mind wandered to Alex, as it often did. I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness without her.

Suddenly, a knock at the door broke the stillness.

I hesitated, wondering who it could be. Not expecting anyone, I got up to answer it.

My heart skipped a beat as I opened the door to find Alex standing before me.

Her eyes locked onto mine, and I felt the world pause.

"Alex?" I whispered, stunned.

She smiled softly. "Hey, Jamie."

Without a word, I stepped aside, letting her in.

As she entered, memories flooded my mind. Our laughter, our tears, our moments together.

Alex looked around, taking in the familiar surroundings. "It feels like home," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I closed the door, my eyes never leaving hers. "You are home," I replied, my voice filled with emotion.

Alex's gaze met mine, and I saw the depth of her feelings.

We stood there, the air thick with unspoken words.

"Jamie," Alex whispered, her voice cracking.

I took a step closer, my heart pounding.

"Alex?"

She took another step, closing the gap between us.

Our lips met in a gentle, tender kiss.

The world melted away, leaving only us.

In this moment, everything felt right.

Alex POV

As I stood at Jamie's doorstep, my heart raced with uncertainty. What if he rejected me? What if he'd moved on?

But the moment he opened the door, our eyes locked, and I knew. I knew I was home.

"Hey, Jamie," I said softly, trying to sound calm.

Jamie's expression changed from surprise to wonder. "Alex?" he whispered, as if unsure if I was real.

I smiled, feeling a sense of belonging. "Hey."

Without a word, Jamie stepped aside, letting me in. I entered, surrounded by familiar memories. Our laughter, our tears, our moments together.

"Jamie," I whispered, turning to face him.

He closed the door, his eyes never leaving mine. "You are home," he replied, his voice filled with emotion.

My heart swelled. I'd missed him so much.

We stood there, the air thick with unspoken words. I saw the questions in Jamie's eyes, the longing.

"Jamie," I whispered, taking a step closer.

He took another step, closing the gap between us.

Our lips met in a gentle, tender kiss. The world melted away, leaving only us.

In this moment, everything felt right.

As we broke apart, Jamie's eyes searched mine. "Why did you come back?" he asked, his voice trembling.

"I realized I couldn't stay away," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

Jamie's face softened. "I've missed you so much."

"Me too," I whispered.

We stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the silence between us comforting.

This was where I belonged.

With Jamie.

In his arms.

In his heart.
