Warning: cursing, mentions of blood, mentions of death.

2128 words.

I'm sorry in advance but Jaku was gruesome, so I'm bringing in some of that gruesomeness to Hinako's part of this story. If you don't want to read the part about death, I'll put a warning to stop where it starts and the spot where it ends, look for bold letters. 👌👌👌👌👌👌

It may not be in the official records of what the work study students did in Jaku, just like it is every damn time with how they run the reports when there's hero students involved. We even helped with the cleanup as our half-dead classmates and teachers were carted off to the hospital. I was able to heal most of the minor scratches I obtained so I was good to help alongside Uraraka and Asui, along with the rest of their classmates that were on Endeavor's team.

I may have gotten some hits to the head so I wasn't completely thinking straight and my hip was killing me since I need the stupidly terrifying surgery for that labrum tear, but I was able to save others in need. What didn't help much was the multiple viewpoints flooding the back of my mind through my left eye, but I tried to suppress the cries of Class 1A and 1B when they found Midnight and Mysterio dead. To no avail, of course, but I could still see out of my right eye just fine.

"... I quit. I can't do this anymore, I can't be a hero." A man beside me says, looking off at the massive destruction that ensued here only moments ago. Uraraka and I stare at him in shock, blood splattered on her face and both of our hands scratched to pieces. He looks like he hasn't even tried helping others, his clothes spotless of dirt or stains, and yet he's already giving up. I want to hit him and scream, voices rushing in a torrent around us and images of death blurring the vision in my left eye to the point that I can't see.

Instead I just walk away toward the voices screaming for help, wishing I could lecture him for having such weak resolve as a pro. What happened to saving everyone? Keeping people safe in this kind of disaster? What happened to becoming a hero for the sake of others even if it cost you your life?

I guess the world really is crumbling beneath our feet.

I look across the flattened earth that Jaku hospital once stood, standing in the remains of the city with crumbled buildings breaking past the horizon. I want to cry and scream and tear the world to pieces, and yet I just look away, the visions in my left eye becoming too much to bear, and listen. I listen to the screams for help, I listen to the cries of heroes as they find nearly dead bodies, and I listen to the voices in my visions, embracing the chaos that surrounds me.

Willing myself not to jump from the roof of a building and let myself flatten on the ground, I rush towards the sound of a little girl crying for her mother. Her blonde pigtails are dirty, her clothes torn, and a little teddy bear clutched in her small hand as she uses the other to wipe her tears. When I near her she's apprehensive, hesitating as she blinks away her tears, "W-Where's my mommy?" She questions, sniffling a little bit.

"I'll find her." I unzip my collar and smile reassuringly, kneeling down to her level, "I'm going to need you to grab onto me okay? We can look for her together, I'll need your guidance okay?"

She nods her little head and grabs onto my neck, wrapping her legs around my waist. Her feet sit on my injured hip uncomfortably, but I'll push through the pain for the little girl's sake, "Alright, can you tell me where you last saw your mom?" She points to my right, mumbling 'over there' into my shirt, having her head buried into my shoulder.
