Warning: cursing

1114 words.

I made this one shorter so that I can write the next one nice and long to encompass the whole Shie Hasaikai thing. I'll probably still have two or three parts of the Shie Hasaikai incident, but I want to put the meeting and the text confirmation and the beginning of storming the building in this next chapter so let's go beyond and get saving Eri! PLUS ULTRAAAAAAA!!! Today's song is a solid 100,000/10 by Rammstein. 👌👌👌👌👌👌

Amajiki stays ahead of me, gaze fixated on the ground as we head up to FatGum's hero agency. My hip is still killing me with how much pain I'm in, but the painkillers I took this morning are making it subside a bit so I can at least walk with a small limp rather than a massive limp like when I first injured myself, "Say, Amajiki-senpai, you have a quirk that needs food too, right?" I ask, pointedly looking at the building we're walking into to try and convey my meaning, "I heard something about it from a support course third year, something about transforming?"

"Kind of." He mumbles, leading me to FatGum, who greets me with a large smile.

"Hey there! I'm FatGum! I see Suneater here brought you, that's nice of you!" He looks at Amajiki like he's his own son, big grin stuck on his face, "He told me about you last night, a support course student, right? That's cool!"

"Uh, thanks sir." I smile too, his smile contagious to both Amajiki and I, although Amajiki's smile is more of a squiggly line on his face than a toothy grin, "I'm Chikako Hinako, support course student, aspiring hero, and monitor of Class One A's progress. If Kirishima-san is able to do a work study with you I'd like to work here as well to monitor his progress towards being a hero." I bow, arms stuck to my sides, "Thank you for this opportunity."

"Suneater, she reminds me of you, all nervous and formal." FatGum chuckles, and I stand up straight again so that I'm not bowing for too long, "I like you, what's your quirk? And what's the hero name you want when you become a hero student?"

A blush creeps across my face from embarrassment, "My quirk is karma, basically 'what goes around comes around' in quirk form. I can do onto others what they do onto me using energy stored up in my bracelets. I can also absorb energy from others without taking a toll on their stamina. I want to be the Invention Hero: Kismet." I stop myself from ranting further because of my nerves and smile sheepishly, "I like the support course, but I'd love to be on the front lines as well."

FatGum thinks on that, "Huh, you've got spunk kid!" He smiles wider, pulling out dango from seemingly thin air, eating some as he considers, "Do you have your hero license?" He asks, mouth full of food. I shake my head, "So you're just here to observe Kirishima, okay." He pulls another piece of dango off the skewer with his teeth, "I can make that work. Welcome to the agency!"

"Thank you, sir!" I say enthusiastically, stopping myself from jumping up and down with excitement, "I promise not to use my quirk without your permission!"

"That's the spirit!"

"I wanna go home..."

Once Kirishima came into the picture, on his first day of all days, a group of lowly thugs were doing who knows what that was illegal, and of course we were called to the scene. FatGum had been eating some balls of food with skewers, and albeit being tempted to ask for some I just went along, not wanting him to waste food for his quirk on me when I can just get food later. We made quick work of the first few, but something felt off as the crowd cheered for Amajiki.

Just then there was a gunshot. Amajiki was hit with something, but it didn't seem to be a bullet, and Kirishima hardened before taking the hit of the second shot fired. It hits directly on his hairline, but when the thug realizes it had no effect he started running. Amajiki tried using octopus tentacles to capture him quickly, but he was bested because of what he was shot with. Damn Overhaul, using the prototypes already when they aren't even worth firing. And it hit my upperclassman, he needs to learn not to deal that crap on the black market to low life's like that bastard.

Kirishima rushes after him, "Kismet! Go after him until I can catch up! He's just asking for trouble at that point!"

"Yes sir!" I rush off, putting some of my quirk behind it so it's less strain on my fresh injury, "Kirishima-san, you better not do anything stupid!" I groan, muttering to myself as I skid behind him into an alleyway. I take notes on his compulsiveness, but find him consoling the thug as he cries? That's when I notice the red vial he produces from his sleeve. Kirishima notices and gets out of the way just in time, getting minor cuts from the blades as they protrude from the thug's body.

"Everyone get back!" Kirishima tells sternly, taking a hit from the thug full force to protect the bystanders. A few stumble back slightly but taking into consideration that there may be people living in the residences surrounding the alleyway, Kirishima takes the brunt of the attacks, making himself a target in his new battle form. He looks totally badass with his body past rock solid and more like the boulder All Might told him to be. I help some of the bystanders back to a safe distance away and vigorously take notes, watching from when Kirishima knocks the guy with a large punch to the villain slipping past his grasp and into FatGum's stomach.

Once the scene is clear and thugs are in custody, the bystanders come up to Kirishima, "Young man, what's your hero name?" A middle aged man asks, woman by his side.

"I'm Red Riot!" Kirishima states proudly. They all say words of praise to him and he bows with gratitude, "Thank you!" After a pause and a change in aura from happy to guilty, he shouts again, still bowing, "Thank you so much!"

As soon as the bystanders go back to what they were doing before the thug had attacked, and FatGum is with Amajiki putting the thugs into custody, I go up to Kirishima and envelope him in a hug. He seems surprised but eventually hugs back, putting his chin on top of my head, "I didn't mean to see your aura just then, but I could feel guilt dripping off of you." I murmur so that only he can hear. His posture stiffens a bit but he doesn't move from my arms, "You don't have to tell me now, or ever, what that guilt was about, but I just want you to know I'm here for you, okay?" I pull out of the hug and grasp his shoulders, "Whatever happened in your past that plagues you won't drive me away. I'm always here to listen."

"Thanks."
