"I'm not here to make friends." Shinso stated not long before these matches started, then he got paired up with Class 1A's first group and got a rundown of how the hero course works. Kaminari was intrigued by Shinso, as is everyone else in the joint training today, but as the first match ensues, a harsh reality sends Tsu and Kirishima flying into some pipes: Class 1B has been training hard too.
By falling into multiple traps, and getting overpowered, Class 1A is pushed into a corner in the first match, but they eventually pull through, setting up an amazing win for the first match of the day. Class B strategized well, knowing some of Class 1A's weaknesses from way back at the sport's festival, but were still somehow beaten based on Class 1A's real-life combat experience.
My main goal today, as set forth by Aizawa, is to track the progress of Shinso and see if he will be eligible for transfer next school year. My other main goal, however, is to document the matches precisely, noting where Classes 1A and 1B grew over the past couple months of training. It's usually hard to multitask this much, but so long as I just say what each person did in the match and cross-reference past notes I should be able to input a reliable report to Aizawa, Power Loader, and Nezu.
I find Shinso once he returns from the match, waiting for the next two teams to start theirs. Mostly everyone is coming up with strategies right now, so I have a couple minutes to pick on my friend, "Hey Shinso-san! You were amazing!" I exclaim quietly, not wanting to draw too much attention, "Work on your speed and I bet you'll be the best newbie out there!"
"Hah, yeah, thanks for the encouragement." He mumbles, scratching the back of his head as he thinks on the advice he just got, "I've got to work on this binding cloth thing too." He wraps his hands around certain pieces of the cloth as he probably thinks about what Aizawa taught him.
I smile and place my hand on his shoulder, since when was he this muscular?? "Don't sweat it, you've still got plenty of training to do, there's not a doubt in my mind about you getting into the hero course!" I glance up at the screen to find that the second match is going to start soon, "Anyways, I have to take notes on the second match, I'll leave you be to focus and make a plan."
He smiles slightly, hiding his face in his binding cloth and voice modulator, "Thanks."
"Of course." I smile brightly, resting my chin on my hand to whisper into his ear, "Mind if I call you Toshi-san?" I ask seriously, head tilted to get a decent look at his face.
"Sure." He smirks mischievously, "If I can call you Chikako."
"You've got yourself a deal." I chuckle, heading off to get a good view of the screens so I can start my note taking on the second match, thankful it only just started not seconds beforehand. it seems Class B came up with yet another flawless strategy, but Class A doesn't go down without a fight, Yaoyorozu showing off some of her amazing planning skills, using shields to go on the defensive as she crafts a cannon, shooting a bag of goodies to her classmates. Tokoyami looks awesome with his Dark Fallen Angel move, but that isn't enough to get them through due to Kuroiro's ability to now control shadows and Komori's mushrooms alongside Kendo's exploit of Class A's weaknesses and Fukidashi's oversized words covering the battlefield.
