Sometimes when I wake up in the early morning, I expect to find nothing off as I look out my balcony, resting my arms on the cold wood railing with a blanket on my shoulders and a mug of tea in my hands. When I look out today though- as the sun rises to the east and casts an array of soft pinks, golds, purples, and blues- I find that the training ground off in the distance has smoke rising from it. I assume that it's Bakugo's handiwork to put myself at ease, given what he said about dealing with Midoriya. What I also see, however, is a blonde-haired, muscular boy running shirtless, blue eyes sparkling with determination as he runs. I've seen this blonde boy a couple of times now on brisk early mornings such as this; I've deducted he's a third year based off of his route but can't tell much else from this far away.
That's when he suddenly waves, looking directly at me in my balcony. I wave back awkwardly, balancing my mug on the railing and in my right hand, then bring my left hand back down and wrap it around my mug to avoid ceramic colliding with the earth five stories down. He seems nice enough, but I prefer not to interact with strangers all of the time, so when he keeps on running, I breathe a sigh of relief in not having to converse with him.
There's a knock on my bedroom door, stirring me from my mindless staring into the distance, I open the balcony door and step inside, closing and locking it behind me, setting down my mug on a coaster on my desk before answering the door. I open it to find Sato, holding out a small tray to me, "Uh hi. I brought a gift...?" He holds out the tray to reveal mini muffins in a little circle wrapped in plastic wrap.
"Aww! Thanks Sato-san! I was just having tea you've got perfect timing, come in!" I try to say enthusiastically, but not too loud so that my cat gets scared, "Would you like some tea? I just bought some from a supermarket before we did the whole dorm thing and it's really good." I scrounge around my shelving unit for my tea basket, "You can set those muffins on the desk if you want."
"Uh yeah, thanks." Sato sets down the small tray of miniature muffins, then moves to sit in my desk chair, "I like your setup, it's not girly but not, not girly?" He looks around, taking in his surroundings before locking back onto me as I gather the stuff on a tiny kitchen island, I found out by Gym Gamma not too long after moving in, "I'd like to admit something though, Todoroki kept muttering about how you gave him a pep talk and stuff, he actually reminded me of Midoriya a bit. Anyways, I thought you might be able to help me out?"
"Damn Todoroki-san for spilling my therapy secrets." I whisper jokingly, chuckling a bit as I set the water to boil, "Sure thing, whatcha need my advice on? I can do anything but fashion advice, I suck hard core at fashion."
Sato chuckles lightheartedly, "No, I just need help with mental stuff, you know? After I failed the final exam with Kirishima I was super down in the dumps, but after getting my hero license I thought I had a chance. Now... I'm not so sure."
"Let's start with identifying the problem, old fashion therapist style." I turn around and lean on the kitchen island, crossing my arms so I can close off myself from any aura escaping, and keep as much eye contact as I can with Sato, "What are you not sure about? Your grades, how you failed and then you passed, your fighting capabilities and/or fighting style?"
"I guess my fighting style? That's what cost Kirishima and I the final exam, we didn't really think it through before just smashing rock with our quirks." Sato sighs, rubbing the back of his neck, "Maybe it was also poor judgement? Cementoss was a super strong opponent and was a bad match up for our quirks too, but we could've done better."
"Okay, so you're unsure what the reasoning behind your unsureness is but have a vague idea. Okay, that's a start." I turn around to put the mesh tea infuser into the mug and fill it with loose leaf tea, then poor hot water over the infuser just after it beeps that it's done. I then turn back to Sato and begin to watch the clock so it doesn't over steep, "I think I'm getting an idea of what you mean, and you're second-guessing yourself, aren't you?" I look down at Sato and he nods solemnly, "Look, I know it won't mean much coming from some chick who's basically a stranger to you, but I saw your courage and willingness to protect during the license exam, you've grown a bunch! You just need time to see for yourself that you're worthy of being a hero, and don't worry about when that realization will come, just worry about allowing yourself to be open to the idea when it crosses your mind."
I chuckle slightly, rubbing the back of my head out of embarrassment, "Todoroki-san was totally lying, I'm bad at advice, you've probably heard that pep talk more than once already. Maybe I'll have better advice if you come back at a later time. Wow, I'm starting to sound like a legit therapist."
"Don't sweat it." Sato chuckles, "Anyway, that tea smells really good, what kind is it?"
"Well, it's a green tea I got it from..."

"I come bearing gifts, my friends." I hold up the tray of mini muffins as I walk into our meet up spot, a large warehouse that's dusty as hell but serves its purpose, "Isn't Twice supposed to be bringing the Shie Hassaikai son here soon? I'd love to beat him to a bloody pulp." I hand out the muffins with a psychotic smile etched onto my face, in my full villain costume. I wouldn't want to have that going for me though, Overhaul already doesn't like that I associate with the League. The fact of living a double life gets into my head again and I try to shake it out before handing a muffin to Toga, her senses always peaked at the smell of blood. I got a fresh cut this morning from hitting my stomach on the edge of a countertop.
"Oooh! Tasty treat!" She sniffs the mini muffin I give her with a sinister smile on her face, big enough to surpass mine on the days I have a psychotic break, "And I smell your blood~ sweet, rich, dangerous blood." She mentions, giving a pointed look at my stomach.
"How about we stick to muffins for now?" I smile, "Wouldn't want my cover being blown now, would we?" I chuckle, licking my lips, "Being a villain as a hero is so fun when nobody knows."
Suddenly the doors open and Twice brings our guest in. Overhaul, master of sickness and bringer of endless suffering, wearing his plague mask proudly, "Well hello sir, didn't expect to see such a well-known face around these parts." I lick my lips and sit down to eat a mini muffin myself, having handed one to everybody in the room except for Twice who just entered, "Aren't you a big shot of the crumbling underworld?"
"Now, now ladies, let's not get ahead of ourselves." Magne smiles, holding her giant magnet pole propped up against her right shoulder. Sad thing is, once our meeting had gone sideways, she was the first to fight and the first to explode from the inside. Her guts paint the walls now of our once tolerable meeting place, and as we all wish to kill Overhaul and his followers, Compress is missing an arm and loosing blood fast... and I need to get back to U.A. before they notice I'm missing.
So much to do. As is the life of an imposter.
