Chapter Eight

I'm writing this on my phone today as I wait to set up my computer. Sorry, no music again!! But I put some original art of mine at the top for you guys!

With the support course class, my seat is directly next to Hatsume's- who is currently petting her support gear and calling it her baby- and in the middle of the horny teenage boys I mentioned previously, so I walk over to the booth where Aizawa and Present Mic are providing commentary and wave Aizawa-Sensei over, "Do you mind if I sit with Class 1A?" I ask quietly, sending a pointed look towards my class where two boys that I would've sat between are now picking their noses. Aizawa looks where I am and sighs, "I'll even sit with the business course at this point sir, anything but over there."

He sighs once more, bandages barely giving room for his face to move to add expression to his exasperation, "Let me ask Mic." He turns to his fellow teacher and whispers something to him, earning a glance at me and a glance at my class before Mic focuses his eyes on Aizawa, "Those dudes are totally grossing me out." Mic says in a surprisingly quiet tone, "It's totally coolio with me if you wanna switch... AND WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?? IZUKU MIDORIYA HAD COMPLETELY STOPPED IN HIS TRACKS!!!" Mic winks at me and Aizawa ushers me away.

"Thank you!" I whisper to my teachers, crouching down to exit the commentary booth and stand before I walk through the back halls towards Class 1A's seating area. A few curious glances are cast my way by other classes but no one in the audience seems to pay mind to my presence as they nearly fall off their seats with anticipation for the outcome Midoriya and Shinso's match. If I were to bet money on it, I would say Midoriya has the upper hand with what I've heard around the newly acclaimed L.O.V. about Midoriya possessing the quirk "One for All". I don't know what that entails, but apparently Shigaraki's master knows that quirk very well and so the quirk is probably old, which means it's had a lot of users. I also learned around the villain's dark web connections that the hero killer Stain is going to strike pro hero Ingenium next. When? I have no clue. Who? I didn't research that far into Ingenium.

Jiro looks up from the match as Midoriya floors Shinso, making his feet go out of bounds, and waves me over. I wave my hand back but point to the seat behind Tokoyami as the spot I want to occupy, not wanting to sit next to the 1A girls all that much. Jiro is one of the few girls I interact with period, not just from her class or U.A. High. She nods in understanding and I take my spot as Todoroki and Sero make their way onto the battlefield, Todoroki looking like someone peed in his coffee and Sero looking ready to battle the dual quirk wielder, tape dispenser elbows at the ready.

The match starts and I see Todoroki's lips move, saying something to Sero before he covers almost a quarter of the stadium in ice, Sero included. He's deemed immobilized and Todoroki has the decency to thaw him out of the ice. It's up to other fire users then to thaw the audience out, "Todoroki-San seems more tense than usual, doesn't he?" I ask to no one in particular, earning me an answer from Kirishima, who's next to Tokoyami on the right.

"Yeah man, I guess. How can you tell though? It's not like Todoroki really shows much emotion when he's doing stuff." Kirishima tilts his head so that he can see me in the row behind him.

"Call it a woman's intuition I guess." I chuckle, maintaining strenuous eye contact with Kirishima, "In all seriousness, I just know, as if my quirk is telling me 'Hey, notice how his shoulders are more hunched and glare seems more distant?'." I try to explain, earning me confused looks from the classmates in my vicinity, "Let's just call it a well-informed hunch." I wave my hand to end the conversation before I dig myself a deeper hole to drown in my anxiety in.
