Just remember what Midoriya said: "Kacchan always starts his fights with a strong right hook", hence his effortless ability to flip Bakugo like a fluffy pancake in the battle trials, flooring the blonde easily. Midoriya also gave me some pointers during his fight with Bakugo in the battle trials from what I heard through my earpiece, which I'll use to my advantage when I get utterly obliterated by Bakugo. I'm aiming to go down with a flare, rather than not even trying before getting obliterated. I sigh, facing the opponent before me with a somewhat confident demeanor, dodging his right hook, but just barely.
"Fight me, damn it!" Bakugo yells, throwing explosions towards my direction, "Don't you dare look down on me!"
"Who says I'm not just fighting to stay alive?!" I groan, taking an explosion head on to my arm, holding up my arm how Kirishima did and activating my quirk. His bad karma repels the good karma I've coated myself with from his classmates, packing enough punch to send his hand ricocheting in the opposite direction with the amount of force he sent into the hit and then some, "I just used thirty minutes worth of stored good karma from earlier, that's a record." I mumble to myself, "Thanks a lot, Bakugo-san!" I yell sarcastically, jumping back to the opposite side of him as we square off again.
I then take the chance to attack first, unleashing a glowing ball of bad karma towards Bakugo, throwing it from my hand like a baseball. The metaphorical baseball is built more like a heat-seeker missile, and I'm able to control said missile to focus it on Bakugo. He blows explosions towards the bad karma mass, but I keep it intact by absorbing his blasts and finally get it close enough to blow up in his face.
Smoke coats the battlefield and we begin hand-to-hand combat under the shadow of dust and concrete mixed with the karma explosion and Bakugo's explosions, fists and palms colliding in a contest of brute force. The smoke doesn't clear for a while, the audience no doubt holding their breaths, but when it finally does we're locked in a heated battle for upper ground, my feet slipping across the jagged concrete towards the edge. I grunt with determination, eyes glowing and body vigorously sweating. The sweat begins to glow too, which seemingly catches Bakugo off guard, his crimson eyes widening the slightest amount possible before returning to normal.
"I'm adding a whole other meaning to the nickname 'Glowstick', eh, Bakugo-san?" I pant, sticking my toes into holes in the concrete to try and gain some leverage over my opponent. He tsks at me, setting off explosions in his sweaty hands. I lean closer until we're nose-to-nose, taking in the husky cinnamon scent he wears mixed with the sweat beaded on various parts of his body, linking our fingers so he can't back away, "Maybe after this we can go out for a coffee. You know, an apology for how badly you're about to crush me in this fight." I whisper, winking at the blonde, "Just push me out of bounds already if you're so capable..." I add, trying to taunt him into a tantrum or at least to have him falter enough so I can gain some ground.
"As if I'd go out with an extra as annoying as you." Bakugo shoves me hard enough to bring my toes free of the spots in the concrete and send me out of bounds with a final explosion. I hit the ground hard on my back and get the wind knocked out of me to the point where I can't suck in any air, so I lay there, gasping for air until Bakugo's hand reaches out for me, right in my face, "Take my help, Glowstick, you won't get it again." He grumbles, looking off to the side.
I would laugh but my deflated lungs and possibly broken ribs say otherwise, so I just grasp his hand firmly and hoist myself up. Being in the jello state that I am, though, I cough and wheeze as I stand and nearly fall on Bakugo, which would usually anger him more. When I nearly fall over, though, he just pushes me the other way onto an awaiting stretcher, and I'm carted off to Recovery Girl's office as Bakugo is declared the winner. I sigh, body relaxing as I pass out.

When I wake up, bandages covering my abdomen under my tank top and sport uniform jacket, I'm curious to find Todoroki getting healed in the bed next to me. Wasn't he supposed to be battling Bakugo...? Oh crap! I come to the realization that I slept through Bakugo and Todoroki's match. Dang, I was looking forward to that one... I groan and try to sit up, but Recovery Girl comes rushing over to my bedside to lay me back down, "Not yet dear, we have to delay the podium ceremony anyways, just relax. I'll be right back."
"Oh... okay." I sink back down into the mattress and watch her go, shutting the door behind herself. Todoroki wakes up then at the sound of the door, looking around to find me lounging on my bed.
"Uh, hey." I wave slightly at him, "You okay?"
He awkwardly waves back, "I'm fine, just knocked out after Bakugo and I's fight." He looks at me, sitting up slightly, "Are you.. okay?" He asks, almost unsure of himself.
"Eh, just a few broken ribs, maybe a punctured lung, nothing Recovery Girl couldn't fix." I reply nonchalantly, "What did Bakugo-San do to you?"
"Nothing Recovery Girl couldn't fix, like yours." Todoroki mutters. He then looks towards the end of his bed, like he wants to say something but is contemplating whether or not it'll be taken the way he wants it to. I get up despite Recovery Girl's adamant concern to stay in bed, and sit next to Todoroki on his bed.
"I know we aren't friends or anything, but you can tell me anything and I can promise to keep it secret. If I ever were to break good karma, I'd be in for a world of pain, but I also wouldn't be able to live with myself if I broke someone's trust." I offer my hand to him, and he surprisingly takes it, "Hero student's honor, or something."
Todoroki still looks uncertain, but sighs and starts to open up, "It was just Bakugo being Bakugo, but when I used my left side... I thought of my father and..." He hesitates, "I wanted to prove I could win without using his quirk, but in the end I still lost to Bakugo."
"I see." I have no idea what he's talking about, but I'll act like I do, "Well then you didn't lose to Bakugo-san, because you stuck to your moral compass, which made it so you didn't use your fire quirk. That's pretty noble, I suppose."
"I suppose." He agrees, quickly changing the subject, "Why were your eyes bleeding earlier? I was... focused at the time so I didn't think to ask." He says with a completely straight and emotionless face, as per usual.
"It's a downside of my quirk. If I overuse my quirk too much or pull a stunt like I did today where I syphoned energy through my eyes along with overusing my quirk, then my eyes and the symbol on my palm begins to bleed." I show him the scar-resembling symbol on my left palm and activate my quirk for a moment so that it glows, "'Karma', it's technically the name of my quirk, but my quirk has so much to it that my mind is blown every time something new happens with it." I admit, flexing my fingers, though not on my right hand because it's still interlocked with Todoroki's, "Anyways, I've bore you long enough, I guess I should get back to my hospital bed."
"This is a nurses office." Todoroki states, the warmth of his hand now gone from mine as I limp my way back to my bed, sitting down on the edge of the mattress.
"Technically it's a hospital bed because that's a type of bed rather than a place of bed, if that makes sense." My face flushes red with embarrassment, "Not like I'm correcting you or anything, just stating my opinion. Haha..." My nervous laughter echos across the small room and I lay down, "Ignore me, my mouth runs away from me sometimes so I sometimes sound like a smart ass when I'm not trying to be."
"... please explain the concept of a 'smart ass'."
"Well-"
