"YE KAHA FAS GYA MEI!"

---------------------------

An awkward silence hung in the room. I cleared my throat, gaining Vedang's attention.

We exchanged glances, and I gave him the 'I told you someone would come!' look.

Dev stood there, a mix of shock and amusement plastered on his face, his lips twitching.

He started, “I mean... I didn’t expect to see that. My poor eyes.”

I tried to say, “Dev, please. It wasn’t—”

“Wasn’t what?” Dev shot back, eyes widening in fake horror.

“My brother, future CEO, the dheet insaan had you wrapped around him like some kinda—”

Vedang groaned, shaking Dev slightly by the collar. “Shut up! Don’t go around gossiping about this, Dev.”

Dev threw his hands up in surrender, still grinning like an idiot. “Hey, hey! Bhai, relax. I’m not telling anyone... yet😏.”

Vedang narrowed his eyes. “Yet? What’s that supposed to mean?”

Dev wiggled his eyebrows mischievously. “Well, you know me. I don’t usually spill the tea... unless it’s absolutely juicy.”

“Oh, god,” I muttered, rubbing my temples. Dev was such a drama queen.

Dev interrupted, waving his hand dismissively. “Though this is kinda juicy but I'll spare you MAYBE. I should charge you for the mental trauma you’ve caused me.”

Vedang pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly exasperated, while I just snorted.

“You’ve seen worse, Dev. Quit acting like a naya baccha,” I said, shaking my head.

“Oh, please,” Dev retorted, dramatically placing a hand on his heart.

“This is different! Aap dono? Saath mei? I thought Kriti was just kidding but how did I not see this coming?..

All this time, I thought you were avoiding each other like the plague, especially few days back

Vedang shot him a look. “We were keeping it private, genius.”

Dev smirked, not buying it. “Yeah, sure. Private. If by private, you mean making out in the house where literally everyone is!”

Vedang’s face turned red, but before he could retort, Dev turned to me. “You better watch out, Iraa. He’s a bit too intense sometimes.”

I looked at Dev with pleading eyes. “Dev, please, kisi ko mat batana!”

Dev sighed, now serious. “Theek hai, but you guys should be more careful! And bhai, what the fuck is wrong with you? You’re always on alert mode?! Be careful”

“Shut up, merko sikha mat tu abh!” Vedang retorted, making Dev roll his eyes.

“I’ll keep my mouth shut on one condition,” Dev said, his tone shifting.

Vedang and I exchanged glances, resigned. “First, never—I REPEAT—NEVER let me see that again!”

“The feeling is mutual,” I muttered.

“Good! And second, mere pyaare bhai,” Dev exaggerated, making me stifle a laugh, which clearly failed.

“VIP TICKETS FOR THE CLUB!” Dev smirked.
