After the Photo Session

"Alright, baccho, we're leaving now! Message on the group once you're on the train!" Ram Suryavanshi called out.

The older ones had their flights booked, while the younger group decided for the train to squeeze in a bit more time together.

"Haan, Papa, don't worry!" Dev replied.

"Worry toh tumhara hi karna padta hai! Sid, Veda, take care of these two monkeys," Neeta instructed, her tone half-joking, half-serious.

Sid grinned. "Don't worry, Maa." He leaned down to kiss her forehead.

Vedang's mom, Megha, approached Iraa with a warm smile.

"It was so lovely meeting you, beta. Do visit us sometime, alright? And Karan, tum bhi aana-and take it easy," she said, patting Iraa's cheek affectionately.

"Haan beta, zaroor aana! Bhaiya, mei toh kehta hu, we should all arrange a dinner at our place soon," Ajay chimed in with enthusiasm.

"Bas, bas, abhi we can make these plans later. Right now, you all should get going; better reach the airport early," Aditi added, hugging everyone goodbye.

"Karan, take care of Iraa, okay? Kriti, you're coming home with them since your parents aren't home, right?" Iraa's mom asked.

"Haanji, Maataji, aajaungi," Kriti answered with a soft smile and a flying kiss.

"I'll help," Vedang offered as he grabbed Akash's (Iraa's dad) bag.

"Take it easy at work, alright? I keep telling Karan the same thing," he added with a grin, earning a pat on the back.

A Few Hours Later-2:00 AM

The hallway was filled with the sound of dragging bags, footsteps echoing on the polished floors, and Aditi shouting for Dev, who had misplaced his stuff-again.

Iraa was just about to head downstairs with her bag when suddenly, a strong arm grabbed her wrist, pulling her into one of the nearby rooms.

She let out a small yelp, startled by the speed of it all. The door clicked shut behind her, and she immediately smacked the person responsible on the arm.

"Vedang!" she hissed, swatting him on the arm. "You scared the hell out of me!"

Vedang let out a soft chuckle, completely unrepentant. "Sorry," he said, though his smirk betrayed him.

Vedang's POV:

I didn't plan on pulling her into the room like that, but I couldn't help it.

Everyone was laughing, packing, and teasing. But all I could think about was her.

The second I saw her standing there, carefree, radiant-like the world wasn't about to rip us apart tomorrow-I felt something in me twist.
