Blanca.
For the next two weeks because we had holidays. My family and Tilly's family had bought a house together in Bar Harbour in Maine and we always went there together. It was one of my favourite places.
This year there had been a couple of additions to our trip, more families would be joining us, the house was large enough so it was fine. Unfortunately Benny's family was one of those which meant I would not be free of him for two weeks. Nika's and Kya's families had also been invited to come along. George and Yeah-yeah were also coming but without their families.
"OMG I am so exited!" Tilly shrieked as she came barrelling into our bedroom, our two families had come out a few days early to make sure everything was ready.
I grinned bracing myself for the impact as she threw herself on the bed and on me, "me too! We're going to have the best time."
"When is everyone arriving?" She asked stretching herself out over me to be extra annoying, "we should get dressed."
I nodded shoving my blanket off, "definitely. They'll be here in a couple of hours."
I grabbed a pair of jeans and a white and blue Spanish style blouse before going into the bathroom to brush my hair. We'd gone swimming in the ocean yesterday and now my hair was all curly.
The house couldn't have been in a better position, we were on the ocean but a part of it that was in baking distance of all of the little islands or other parts of town.
I swept my hair back into a ponytail and grabbed a small pair of golden hoop earrings. Once I was finished with that Tilly and I went down for breakfast, we were lucky enough to have a cook here which meant that breakfast here was always amazing. My siblings and Tilly's little sisters were already down there eating. So we're our parents.
"Nice of you to finally join us girls." Tilly's mother said grinning as we sat down.
"Morning everyone." Tilly chirped helping herself to the masses of food on the table.
Kya's family was the first to arrive, Tilly and I sprinted out of the house to go greet her. The Banks' we're old family friends of both of our families so the three of us had known each other since forever.
"KYA!" I shrieked almost knocking her over in the process of hugging her.
I'd seen her at my father's event but because she lived two hours away from The Valley we didn't get to see each other that often and time always passed so slowly between when we did see ach other.
She grinned wrapping her arms around me, "Blanca! I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" I exclaimed as we pulled Tilly into the hug with us. We'd always been a trio as little kids when our parents hung out.
"Hey!" Emmanuel called walking down the road behind us.
Tilly and I shared a grin as Kya detached herself from us and barrelled down the road towards my brother. "Emmanuel!" I heard her yell excitedly. She jumped up flinging her arms around his neck her legs winding around his waist. Emmanuel caught her a huge grin on his face, "hey stranger."
"Just friends my ass." Tilly muttered as we went to say hello to Kya's brother and her parents.
"Honestly." I replied amused, we were close with her but it was very clear that she and my older brother were closer.
After then Nika's family was the next to arrive, then George and Yeah-Yeah who had taken the train up and finally Benny's family.
I grinned as we went to greet them, although I could have done without Benny I liked Ty and Nico so it wasn't too bad. Ty shot me a stunned grin as he walked out, "this is your house? Jesus Christ what are you the Princess of Mexico?"
I nodded grinning back, "yeah, didn't you know?"
He rolled his eyes, "ha ha. Do you have a football field here?"
"Obviously. And now that everyone's here together we can play a real game." I told him.
"Awesome."
Once I'd said hello to the parents and Nico I went to say hello to Benny, we hadn't talked much since I'd stormed out of his garden. "Hi-."
He cut me off, "let's call a truce for this holiday. I don't feel like being a dick to you all week and I know you don't really feel like preting to be whoever you pretend to be, so let's not."
Well I hadn't been expecting that, but he was right, I really didn't want to do that so I held out my hand to him, "okay, we'll truce."
He grinned shaking my hand, before twisting us around so his arm was around my shoulder, "and there's no taking it back, okay? Even when I say things you might not want to hear."
I sighed as we started walking towards the house, "yeah alright, no take backs."
I dropped hold of his hand when I realised I was still holding it but I didn't shove his arm off because I didn't mind, it was nice. I swear my parents mouthes almost fell open when they saw us walking past, I'd forgotten in their minds we still hated each other.
"So where's my room?" Benny asked as I showed up up the stairs.
"You're sharing with Yeah-yeah and George." I explained, "they already arrived they're probably unpacking."
He snorted, "they're probably getting it on with their girlfriends."
I wrinkled my nose, "ew in the same room? That's disgusting."
"Yeah, fair point, but we should knock just in case." He replied making a face as the image probably came to mind.
Even though I doubted it I knocked all the same, no need to walk in on anything. "Come in!" Tilly called.
I pushed open the door to see the the girls relaxing on the bed while the two boys were sitting beside them, "you don't have to knock sweetie." Tilly told me amused as she patted the bed beside her.
"Told you." I muttered to Benny as we walked in.
"As if, they so heard our footsteps."
"Get your head out of the gutter."
"What did you say?" Nika asked confused.
"Nothing." We both replied quickly grimacing, there was no need to raise that. Mostly because I didn't want to know.
