Blanca.
I was seriously starting to regret running away, at least in witsec I would have had my brother for company. Instead I was here, alone, depressed and with no one but the stray cat I'd found wandering around to keep me company.
At least the Cabin was well heated, it had been thunderstorming for the last three days now and if it wasn't for the killer radiators in this house I probably would have died of hypothermia. "Hey pretty girl," I crooned lifting the cat onto my lap as she jumped onto the couch.
Brujita, that was what I'd named her, stretched herself out before settling down on my upper thighs yawning. I stroked her soft fur switching the TV on so I could watch whatever was showing on the three channels it had to offer, all of them kind of sucked but it was what it was. My hair had gone as curly as it possibly could because of all the rain but for once I didn't mind. It actually looked sort of nice.
It had taken me three hours to walk from the train station to the cabin which had been no easy feet since I'd been barefoot, it had been pouring down with rain and the only thing I had for a map was the directions that Ty had written down for me on a post it note. I'd ended up having to hitch a ride from a sweet old lady who found me wandering on the side of the road.
"Hey now," I scolded as Brujita's claws shot out and sunk into the fabric of the pyjama trousers I'd found in one of the rooms upstairs, "these are they only ones there were so you cant wreck them."
As much as I loved animals if she was all I had to talk to for the next year then I'd go stir crazy, I was seriously starting to consider going back. I wasn't made to be by myself, I thrived off of being around other people, this solitary confinement I'd given myself would drive me nuts. It already was.
Benny.
Our plan was simple, we all pretended like we were giving each other rides to school and then once we reached the school parking lot and the marshalls that insisted on following us around back off we'd circle back to the cars and get the hell out of there. I dropped Ty off at his school before taking us to ours.
"I really hope this works," Nika murmured glowring at the marshall cars that were following us around.
"Me too," I agreed sighing.
Nika, Yeah-Yeah, Ty and I were going to go in Nico's car and George, Tilly, Emmanuel and Kya were in Kya's car. Once we reached our school we all got out of our cars and walked into the buliding with everyone else so that we wouldn't raise suspicions. Kya obviously wasn't in the car yet because if she came to school with us for no reason it would be to obvious, she would be waiting for us a little futher up the road in the cover of the woods. Which was where Ty was walking to right now, there was a back path in the forrest from his school that he could take to get there.
"Are the they gone?" Tilly asked trying to look through the window.
"They're gone," Emmanuel confirmed, "it's now or never guys."
Pushing open the back doors we all sprinted out and back to the cars, I climbed into the drivers seat slamming the door and pushing the key into the ignition so that I could start the car and we could leave. About five mintues up the road Kya and Ty were waiting for us, my brother climbed into the passanger seat working, "I can't believe those suckers fell for that."
"Let's not congratulate ourselves yet," I replied pulling back onto the road, "we still have to drive another three hours to get there, a lot could go wrong."
"If they catch us I'm saying you kidnapped me," he told me unhelpfully.
"Oh good, then I can be charged with obstruction of justice, harbouring a fugitive and abducting a minor," I muttered sarchastically.
"A nice long wrap sheet to go with the nice long lecture we're going to get from our parents if we get caught," Yeah-yeah said shaking his head, "my Mom and Dad are going to lose it."
So were mine.
I pushed my foot down on the ignition mentally praying that we wouldn't get caught, everything would got to shit if we did, not only would we be in more trouble than we'd ever been in in our lives but we'd also have screwed it up for Blanca and that was the last thing I wanted.
"Stop worrying," Ty told me rolling his eyes, "we'll be fine."
"I hope you're right."
"I'm always right," my little brother replied confidently, "I'm like an oracle."
I snorted, "an oracle?"
"Yeah, you know the ones that give prophecies," Ty explained, "and right now I'm prophecising that we'll make it."
"If we get caught I'm telling them the orcale made me do it." I teased him.
Ty smirked, "be my guest, the only thing that will change is where you end up, which will be the loony bin not prison since they'll think your insane."
"You're so lucky we need you," I told him amused, "otherwise I'd have left your ass behind."
Ty scoffed, "Blanca would have made you go back for me."
She probably would have, but he didn't need to know that, "you're delusional."
"You're just jealous that your girlfriend likes me better than you," he shot back a shit eating grin on his face.
"You're just jealous I have a girlfriend, I don't see any girls chasing after you," I tossed back laughing, "you haven't even kissed a girl before."
A smug look crossed my brothers face, "that you know of."
I raised my eyebrows amused, "you've had your first kiss? When?"
"None of your business," he shot back, "and that's all I'm saying on the matter."
There was no way I was letting that go, "aw, do you have a little crush Ty, or maybe a little girlfriend?"
"No, all I'm saying is that if I wanted one I wouldn't have any trouble getting one." Came his reply.
Cocky little shit, "has anyone ever told you how arrogant you are?" I asked turning down the road where he showed me.
TY grinned at me, "I get it from you."
