Benny.

Blanca thundered down the stairs a terrified expression on her face, "guys, he found us!"

That could mean a lot of things because a lot of hes were after us, her father, the US marshall, the San Fernando chief of police, her Uncle... there was a lot of options. "Who?" I asked intercepting my girlfriend, "who found us?"

The fear was shining brightly in her eyes, "my Uncle. He's the one in the boat that's been out there for days. We need to get the hell out of here!"

"We need to tell someone where we are first," Emmanuel interrupted quickly, "we need to call Dad or the police so they know where to look of he takes us."

Oh shit, he had just realised Blanca's worst nightmare, the only problem was it was the right thing to do and our best chance at staying alive which meant she couldn't say no. Blanca grabbed my hand squeezing it so hard I thought she might cut off my circulation, "do it," she told her brother releasing a pained sigh, "call them."

"Are you sure?" Emmanuel asked walking over to the phone.

"Well I'd rather go into witness pretection than die so yeah I'm sure," she said nervously, "just call them now!"

"You're going to be fine," I reassued her squeezing her hand back.

Blanca shot me a panicked look, "how can you even say that?"

"Because I'm not going to let anything happen to you," I told her firmly, come hail, rain or storm I was going to keep this girl safe and now was no different.

"I'm holding you to that," she said releasing a shaky breath, "so don't let me down Benny Rodriguez."

"I won't, I promise," I reassured her quietly, "that's never going to happen."

"Good."

The instructions from the US Marshalls were the following, get the hell out of the house and to the nearest town where there were lots of people and police that could keep us safe. They would be out here a quickly as they could. We grabbed only the essentials before hightailing to our cars. I slammed my foot down on the gas making the car shoot forwards, the faster we got the hell out of here the better.

"Oh thank god," Blanca, who was sitting in the passanger seat beside me let out a relieved sigh as the house disappeared in the distance, "the faster we get out of there the better."

I couldn't have agreed more, but I had the feeling that was a little too easy. There was no way they been staking us out on a boat for the last five days and hadn't made a single move, they must have had some kind of plan on getting us in case we decided to leave. I couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't over yet, but I wasn't stupid enough to voice that concern aloud. I did not want to set Blanca off.

She was at her wits fucking end right now, Blanca was a strong girl, but she had been holding everything in her whole life and so the pressure she carried was insanely heavy. I was scared if I told her this she would finally collapse underneath it and we didn't have time for that right now.

Blanca, Ty, Nika and Yeah-Yeah were in my car and Tilly, George, and Emmanuel were in Kya's with her, Kya was following behind us because I were the one with the map so they had no idea where they were going.

While everyone was packing up Emmanuel pulled me aside, "you know there's like a ninety percent chance they're coming for us, right?"

"Yeah, I figured about as much," I muttered defeatedly, "what do we do if they do?"

"The only thing we can, we need to get those girls and Ty the fuck out of here, while we stay back and slow them down," he said quietly, "I know that it's a horrible idea but it's the only one we have."

I shrugged glancing over to my girlfriend and younger brother, "I'm prepared to do it if that's what it takes, we just have to make sure we do it strategically. So that we can give them as big of a headstart as possible."

"We'll cross the stratagy bridge when we come to it, we won't be able to guess how they get us," Emmanuel said sighing, "let's just hope the ten percent chance is righgt and it doesn't come to this."

"Let's," I agreed as a heavy weight settled on my shoulders.

My top priorities right now were Blanca and Ty, as long as they came out of this safe I'd done my job and the only way I could ensure that happening is if I stayed back and made sure they had enough time to get to safety. They were the two people I needed to make out of this alive the most, I didn't think I'd be able to live with myself if either of them died. It was going to take at least and hour until the marshalls got here, and if Blanca's Uncle caught up to us I was more than ready to buy the others time to get away.

As soon as we were done grabbing what we needed we hightailed it to the cars so we could get the hell out of here. Thankfully the roads were empty so we could drive way above the speed limit without worrying about crashing into someone or cops.

I glanced nervously in the rearview mirror to make sure that no one was following us but so far so good. The only car on the road other than mine was Kya's car which was a very comforting thought. Either way it didn't still my nerves, I knew this wasn't over yet, I just knew it.

And it was about half way to the town that my thoughts were realised because that was when I spotted them, five motorcycles's headlights appearing out of the no where. I knew it was them too because they were taking up boht lanes and one of the lanes went back in the other direction, normal civillians wouldn't do that.

"Fuck," my brother muttered voicing my thoughts aloud, "that's them isn't it?"

"Yeah," I replied keeping my eyes fixed on the road.

"What do we do now?"

Hope for the best

Blanca.

I clasped my hands together praying to every god that was out there that we would make it out of this alive, all nine of us, I didn't even want to imagine the possiblity that not everyone would survive this. I couldn't, because if I did that then I would crumble and burst into tears on the spot and right now I needed to be strong. Tears weren't going to get me anywhere.

I didn't know if we were going to make it to the town before they caught up to us but I did know that if it came down to a stand off then I would go willingly. Because the people here in this car and the other car right now were the most important people in the world to me, and I was not going to let them die because of me. I was what my Uncle wanted, me and my brother, if he let the others go he could have me.

I wouldn't even put up a fight.
