"OHMYGOSH!" Tilly shrieked as she practically threw herself into the seat beside me in the cafeteria, "did you hear about Helena G's costume party? We should all go in couples costumes with the boys! I already have so many ideas for that."

I shared a grin with Nika, Tilly had been planning this for years so she would know exactly what to do when we all had boyfriends. "Okay, okay so I was thinking for Blanca and Benny you guys could do like  Anakin and Padme or-."

She was cut off as Emmanuel who'd been walking past banged his hand on the table, "bagsy!" 

"Who are you bagsying that for? Your imaginary girlfriend?" Nika asked earning herself a glare. 

"No, I'm saving it for Kya asshole," Emmauel shot back. 

Nika rolled her eyes, "you do realise in order for it to be a couples costume you actually have to be in a couple?" 

"Cut it out guys," I interrupted amused, the two of them had never gotten along I was used to that but now was not the time, "we need to think of ideas for everyone, the party is this Saturday, we don't have a lot of time to organise our costumes." 

"Thank you!" Tilly agreed grinning, "okay so I'll put Emmanuel and Kya down for Anakin and Padme, George and I are going as Glinda and the Wizard which just leaves ideas for you two and your boys."

"Tilly! Ohmygod  Glinda and the Wizard is perfect for you two, that is such a good idea!" I told her making her beam, "and I also think that Nika and Yeah-Yeah should go as Morticia and Gomez Adams." 

Nika nodded approvingly, "I like that, put us down Tilly. Now as for you Beebs..." 

My best friends turned to ma narrowing their eyes at me as they tried to scopw out a costume, "Ferris and Sloane from Ferris Beuller's day off?" Nika asked. 

"That's good, but we can do better." Tilly said tilting her head to the side, "Peter an Wendy?" 

"Mr and Mrs Smith?" Nika offered. 

Tilly pursed her lips, "Bernard and Bianca?" 

"I have it!" Nika exclaimed clapping her hands together exitedly, "Dom and Letty from fast and furious!" 

I nodded quickly, "it's perfect! Nika you're a fucking genius!" 

"So that's all of us settled then, we can go shopping after school today to get it out of the way!" Tilly said grabbing her notepad to write down what everyone was going to be, "ugh, aren't costume parties just the best? The fact that we get to wear costumes is literally why halloween is my favourite holiday, it doesn't get much better than playing dress up girls." 

I highfived her, "preach Til."

The night of the party, Tilly, Kya, Nika and I all got ready at my house upstairs in my bedroom. "No Emmanuel!" Kya shouted through the locked door, "I already told you you have to wait until the grand reveal to see it!" 

"But I'm so bored, can I please come in!" My brother complained from the otherside. 

"No," she replied sternly, "I want you to be surprised." 

"I'll be so surprised baby I promise," Emmanuel said shocking us all, "please just let me in." 

Kya turned to me her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open, "did he just call me baby?" she hissed sounding panicked. "What do I do?"

I honestly had not thought my brother had it in him to give her a hint about how into her he was, I was just as surprised as Kya was. I shrugged helplessly, "I don't know! He's never done that before!"
