Rodger had always taken care of Toodles. The younger toon was like his daughter, he cared for her. And when Glisten entered the picture, he put in an effort to treat the young toon in a similar way as Rodger did. Of course, both had their own methods, but they worked well as a team.

"And... There!" Glisten smiled. That day, he spent time giving Toodles some simple glittery makeup. The two had spent time talking, about mysteries and Toodles' day.

"Thank you!" Toodles spoke in a cheerful tone. She stood up, looking into the vanity. She nearly squealed, bouncing up and down. Glisten couldn't help but smile.

Rodger had been in the room when Glisten started doing Toodles' makeup, but he left to fetch drinks. It was at that point the detective toon returned, a few things in hand. One, a plastic pouch with a yellow straw, filled with juice for Toodles. In his other hand was a cup of water, which he set carefully on the vanity. Rodger gave Toodles the juice pouch, which she took with a quick, "Thanks, Rodger!"

Glisten smiled at Rodger quietly. Rodger moved to give Glisten a quick greeting. They would kiss, but seeing as Rodger didn't have a mouth, they improvised. The two lightly tapped their frames together, a light clink being heard before they returned to what they were doing before.

Rodger began chatting with Toodles. There was no filming, no work today. Glisten hummed as Rodger picked a familiar little plush off of the vanity, giving it to Toodles. The plush was a simple thing, a black and white dog. It was a bit dirty, but they knew Toodles would be heartbroken if they gave it to any handlers to clean.

"Can we play?" Toodles asked Rodger, plush in one hand and her juice pouch in the other. Rodger looked around before nodding.

"Of course, we can play today! What did you have in mind?"

"I want to play detective!"

And so, the game began. Various toys were soon scattered about the room, with Glisten helping occasionally. Toodles declared that Glisten had been murdered, which gave him pause, but he placed a hand over his forehead and dramatically fell to the floor, drawing a giggle from the youngest toon.

The game went about amusingly. Toodles approached various toys, and Rodger would act things out with them. In the end, one of the dolls ended up being the culprit because 'He stole her man', according to the doll's story.

Once the game was finished, it seemed late outside. Glisten got up off the floor, helping to gather the toys up. Toodles looked to be getting tired, so Rodger picked her up and held her for a moment.

"Goodnight, junior detective!" Glisten waved as Rodger left Glisten's room, Toodles in his arms. Rodger set Toodles into bed, tucked her in, and cleaned the makeup off her face quickly. When Toodles fell back asleep, Rodger returned to Glisten's room.

Glisten had placed the toys in a basket, so they could be brought back to Toodles room. Rodger wrapped his arms around Glisten, tapping their frames together. Glisten shut his eyes, leaning into the touch.

"I had a good time today. We should really make more time for these kinds of days," Glisten hummed, to which Rodger nodded.

"If I had more time, we would. But I have cases to work on, so it can be weekend plans."

Glisten fell quiet. The two enjoyed their moment, before they heard a knock on the door frame. Toodles had gotten out of bed, and was staring at them.

"Dad, I threw up."
