Dancing

Glisten had always been a good dancer. He spent hours practicing when he was younger, it used to be his main act before he discovered his trick. But, he hadn't done it for a while.

Rodger, on the other hand, wasn't the type to dance on his own. He found pleasure in reading, writing, and working on his cases. But, he wasn't against the idea, as long as it remained a simple thing.

Glisten and Rodger were spending an evening together as usual. They were in Rodger's room, Glisten found it comfortable.  The golden bodied toon could faintly hear the music coming from the lobby, it made him smile. Classical wasn't usually his preference, but he enjoyed it from time to time. He usually couldn't hear the music from his room.

"Do you ever dance, Rodger?"

"Hm... Not really."

"Would you entertain me a little, my closest, most beloved Rodger?"

Rodger sighed. Just like that, he got to his feet, giving in. Glisten followed quickly, taking Rodger's hand without much prompting. Glisten waited a moment before taking the lead. Glisten looked proud of himself as they fell into a rhythm, a simple 'one, two, three, four' stepped dance to follow the music they could faintly hear.

Rodger didn't seem to be upset about following Glisten's movements. He only gasped a tiny bit when Glisten dipped his body, his shoulder almost grazing the bed post. Glisten looked amused.

"You're a better dancer than I thought, detective," Glisten complimented. Glisten helped Rodger back up into a standing position before they continued.

"I never said I was bad at it, I simply said I don't do it often," Rodger hummed. He didn't take much offense.

"That is true, isn't it? I still think you're great at it."

Glisten kissed Rodger's cheek. Rodger blinked, not having much time to react before he was dipped once more. The next moment, he was lifted, and spun delicately before Glisten plopped him down on the bed.

"Next time I'm making you lead," Glisten smirked.

"If it means I get to spend more time with you, always."

Glisten's smirk softened into a smile. He moved closer, Rodger taking the chance to tap the frame of his glass against Glisten's own. Glisten blushed a small bit at the contact, though he would never admit it. The two laid beside each other, letting a comfortable silence fill the air as they found each other's hands, weaving their fingers together.

"Do you want to dance again?"

"Of course, my love."
