[A/N: APOLOGY FLUFF IS HERE! And I'm actually conscious while writing this time! Hope y'all like it! :D ]

Rodger had this planned for a long time now. It was perfect in his mind, he already had the ring in his desk drawer, waiting... It had been a few months since he'd gotten it. Had he ever been so nervous to ask Glisten something? He doubted it, aside from maybe when they had gotten together in the first place.

Rodger sat up, it was early morning now. His beloved partner, Glisten, still had his arms wrapped around Rodger's torso, his eyes shut. Glisten looked peaceful, and Rodger couldn't help but feel his heart warm. He would have smiled, if he had a mouth. He carefully pulled out of Glisten's embrace, drawing a few mumbled protests from the toon before Glisten fell back into unconsciousness. Rodger got ready for the day.

He looked into the mirror that hung on the wall, just above the dresser. Today would be the day he finally proposed, he swore that to himself. Rodger felt calm as he got dressed up. He looked at the indigo ribbon Glisten had gotten him a long while ago, settled neatly in a jewelry dish by the night stand. He remembered Glisten saying it was to match, though they didn't wear the same color. Rodger picked up the delicate fabric, wrapping it neatly around his handle before he looked back at the bed.

Glisten was moving around, his eyes opening slightly as he felt the empty bed beside him. Glisten sat up, looking a little worried, but the feeling seemed to be almost instantly replaced by happiness as he spotted Rodger by the dresser.

"Good morning, my handsome detective! Do you have any plans for today? Any cases?"

Glisten lifted a hand to rub his eyes. Rodger looked back at Glisten, fondness shining through.

"I thought we could spend the day together, go somewhere nice." Rodger hummed as he buttoned up the cuffs of his shirt. Glisten made a pleased sound in response, climbing out of bed to wrap his arms around Rodger's waist. Glisten gave Rodger a sleepy kiss on the cheek before he spoke again.

"Where are we going?" Glisten asked curiously.

"That's a secret. You'll like it, trust me. I'd recommend you dress up a bit, though, I think you'd love to have pictures."

Glisten looked a bit suspicious, and incredibly curious. Rodger felt a bit nervous, had Glisten figured him out? Rodger was a good liar, for the most part, but Glisten had a way of analyzing people's faces that made it hard to bluff. Despite this, Glisten couldn't lie to save his own life, in most cases. Though, Glisten didn't seem to linger long, moving to open his own drawer.

"I'll dress my absolute best, then! Your theoretical jaw will hit the floor, darling!"

Glisten almost seemed to take the hint as a challenge. Rodger chuckled, lightly tapping his frame against Glisten's own. Glisten was slightly taller, so Rodger had to lean up slightly, but it wasn't an issue.

"I'll leave you to get dressed, then. Come meet me in the kitchen when you're done."

Rodger, before leaving the room, subtly grabbed the ring's case from his desk. Glisten was too busy looking for what he wanted to wear to notice the movement.

Rodger wandered out to the communal kitchen. Of course, a few toons were already there. Tisha was present, talking to Teagan about a variety of topics as she tidied the counter, seemingly already having eaten. Boxten was at the table with Poppy, listening as the bubble toon talked about a crazy dream she had.

Rodger found his way to the counter, making some toast for himself. He heard a familiar thumping sound as Pebble made his way into the kitchen. Pebble, while not usually being on this floor, came in the mornings to stare at the other toons and beg for food. Rodger watched Pebble wander up to Boxten, sit at his legs, and stare at him with big eyes. Rodger sighed as he saw Boxten give in, feeding the rock a few pieces of his meal. Pebble then proceeded to run back to the elevator, leaving Boxten to continue talking with Poppy. Rodger wished Boxten would stop feeding Pebble, but he held his tongue today.
