['The First Meeting' but from Glisten's perspective! Enjoy! :3 ]

Glisten hummed, waiting in the elevator. He didn't remember how exactly he got there, or where he'd been before this, but it didn't matter now. The tall human beside him, a 'toon handler' as they'd introduced themselves, waited for the elevator door to open. Glisten looked up at them, before looking back at the ground. He shuffled, finding a compress mirror on his person. Glisten checked his face, wanting to look his best, despite how his face and the little mirror made thousands of reflections off each other, enough to make the newly made toon dizzy.

Glisten clasped the compress mirror shut, taking a deep breath. He'd make an entrance worthy of respect! He'd be perfect, as his handler told him to be! He felt the elevator come to a stop, the heavy door sliding open. Glisten stepped out, spotting a few other toons around. Dandy, a multi coloured flower, made his way over.

"Hi! I'm Dandy, great to meet you! I hope you get all settled in quickly! You're Glisten, right? I've heard all about you from the handlers! You seem like a perfect fit to our little family here!"

Dandy seemed friendly enough, shaking Glisten's hands with a smile that combated the sun. Another toon hung back, seemingly a touch shy, the crescent moon shape on his face the most prominent feature. Though, Glisten's attention was drawn to a smaller toon, a little eight ball, running off excitedly. Glisten wondered briefly about who the smaller girl was, before he shook his head and began to chat with the nearby toons. Glisten kept in mind his posture and appearance, not wanting to make a bad impression.

It wasn't long before the smaller toon returned, dragging another taller toon behind her. Glisten, still busy in conversation, didn't speak yet, until he heard the quiet clearing of the throat and a firm voice speak.

"Hello, sir. I am Rodger, the local detective, at your service," The magnifying toon introduced himself, before gesturing to the girl by his side, "This is Toodles, she's very excited to meet you."

Glisten smiled at Rodger, watching him pause. Glisten felt a bit confused before he noticed the smallest bit of blush on Rodger's face, making Glisten hold back a giggle. He'd have to learn more about this toon, he seemed rather cute! Glisten looked him over, noting the well cared for leather jacket and the jabot around his neck. Rodger seemed somewhat fancy, but perhaps not too much compared to some other toons he'd meet later.

"Why, hello there! I'm Glisten the mirror, charmed to make an appearance! My, what an adorable daughter you have! I hope to see the both of you plenty!"

Glisten watched Rodger curiously, he seemed stunned. Toodles, who Glisten assumed was Rodger's daughter, looked up at Rodger with confusion before she pulled free of the taller toon's grasp to talk to Glisten.

"What's your favorite color? What's your favorite food? Do you have a favorite animal? Where are you from?" The young girl spoke rapidly, making it hard to keep up with the questions. Glisten did his best to answer, though he wasn't too sure of the answers himself. He couldn't remember a thing before the elevator ride up to the toon rooms...

Glisten didn't have long to ponder before Rodger spoke again, carefully taking his daughter's hand once more, "We should get back to our business, and you should acquaint yourself with this place. I hope to see you soon, Glisten."

And just like that, the two walked away, Toodles quietly protesting with the desire to ask more questions. Glisten chuckled as he watched the two, they certainly were interesting. Glisten waved as they went off, deciding that he'd have to become better friends with Rodger. He seemed like a fun person to know.
