 The Night Before...

Kenzie had invited the team, Hightower, and Nicole for a night out at a bar. Kenzie mostly wanted Teresa to realize her love for Nicole. After Kenzie, Nicole is the only other person she will text every day.

Kenzie also had to reassure the team that Madeline was there as a friend and not as their boss. She greeted everyone with a hug and sighed when Patrick walked in with his stupid suit on. Either way, they were on their way to a great night.

After having a great laugh, Rigsby leaned over to Kenzie. "Hey, Kenzie, how's your flirting?"

Kenzie gave him a suspicious look. "Whyy?"

"We wanna see if you can get anyone's number," said Cho.

"Is there a catch?"

"No."

"Oh, how about we make this a bet?" proposed Nicole.

"I don't wanna be a bet."

"No. No. It won't be like that. It'll be guys vs. girls. Madeline, you in?"

"Definitely."

"Wait a minute," said Teresa. "Kenzie can't pick."

"I'll pick," said Patrick.

"That's not fair, either," said Van Pelt. "You can practically read the person."

"No. No. I've got this." Patrick looked around and pointed to the back of a brunette woman at the bar. "That one right there."

Kenzie eyed her up and down. "Alright."

"Alright. How much we bettin'?" asked Cho.

"$50 each," said Nicole.

Rigsby and Cho protested. "Hey, we're not that rich."

"How about this? If I don't win, even though I'm going to, I'll give Patrick the $50 and we will give y'all 20s. If I win, Patrick will give me the $50 and y'all give us the 20s," suggested Kenzie.

Everyone let out sounds of agreement. Kenzie smirked at Patrick.

"You better be ready to pay me, rich boy?"

"You better prepare to pay me, missy."

As the two started teasing each other, they didn't notice the others slipping dollar bills toward each other. Rigsby and Madeline groaned as they gave their money to Cho and Nicole. Teresa cleared her throat, grabbing Kenzie and Patrick's attention.

"Come on. I want my money."

"See. That's the spirit, Res." As Kenzie got up, she leaned into Patrick's ear. "Prepare to lose."

Kenzie walked over to the woman and lightly tapped her shoulder. Kenzie was surprised at how hot a woman could be. The woman's brown skin glowed as purple lights swung throughout the bar. Her voluminous coily hair accentuated her button-like nose and round glasses. "Hello, love."

The woman blinked with surprise as she looked at Kenzie. "Hi."

"What's your name?"

Kenzie lightly bit her tongue as her eyes soaked up the woman in front of her. "Ruby."

"Ruby. That's a lovely name, beautiful."

Ruby surprised herself as she let out a giggle.

"I was thinking a pretty girl like you shouldn't be by yourself like this. So I was thinking after my friends and I leave the bar, you should come back with me to my place."
