Kenzie slowly started spending more time in the gym during her breaks. At first, it was to calm herself down. But, after a certain... Red John incident, she only found comfort in her boxing.

Kenzie squinted her eyes in the dark as she navigated to the kitchen. She opened the fridge door and pulled out a bottle of water. She took a sip. Before she walked away, she noticed a familiar figure sitting at her dining table. She froze.

"Why are you here again?" asked Kenzie.

"What's wrong, Kenzie?" asked Red John. "I can't check in."

"Answer the question."

"I wanted to check in. I have to say, I'm very upset that you couldn't kill that police officer."

"The man had a heart attack and fell down. Not much I could do."

"Don't worry. I have other plans for you."

"What does that mean?"

He stood up and grabbed her chin. "Don't worry about it. Remember whose blood will be on your hands if you say anything."

This time, Kenzie barely took her time to wear her boxing gloves. She just wrapped her hands, put in her earbuds, and started punching. After her first meeting with Red John, she learns the slight pain from the punches takes her mind off her dark thoughts and Red John.

Madeline was finally finished with her work day. She wanted to hang out with Kenzie, Teresa, and Nicole. She walked up to Kenzie's office, only to not find her. She knocked on Teresa's door.

"Hey," greeted Madeline. "Have you seen Kenzie anywhere?"

"Um, no," said Teresa. "She seemed really tired, so I thought she went home."

"Her bag is still here."

"What? Oh, you know what. She's probably downstairs."

The girls walked downstairs to find Kenzie boxing. They called out to her, but she didn't answer. Teresa walked up to her. She gasped as Kenzie's red-soaked bandages hit the punching bag. She took an earbud out.

"Kenzie," called out Teresa.

She kept punching.

Teresa raised her hand, but Madeline placed her hand on her shoulder. "Wait. Don't touch her."

"What?!"

"Just get Jane down here."

Madeline heard Teresa's fast footsteps grow fainter. After a couple of minutes, a pair of footsteps ran into the room. Patrick slowly walked to a stop.

"How long has she been doing this?" asked Patrick.

"I don't know. Probably an hour or two."

"You didn't think to stop her?"

"I didn't want her to get startled and accidentally punch someone."

Patrick cautiously walked up to Kenzie. He looks at her, blood dripping from her knuckles. He placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Kenzie," quietly called out Patrick.

She continued punching. Patrick slowly took out her other earbud and leaned into her ear.

"Kenzie."

Her breath hitched, and looked up at Patrick.

"Hey, Patrick. What are you doing here?" She looked at the punching bag and noticed red stains. She looked down at her hands and saw the red-stained bandages, blood slowly dripping down her hands. Full of panic, she looked up at Patrick.
