Travis

To my surprise, Taylor arrived back in my office in twenty minutes, a little red and giggling like crazy. Such a sudden change from the teary, shocked girl I'd seen leave.

"What?" I asked as she rushed into the room and closed the door.

"Oh. My. God." Taylor said like she had the news of the century, and I raised my eyebrows at her. It was the tone of voice I'd heard her use when she'd been talking with another girl and they'd had 'gossip' and I didn't understand the excitement. "Selena and Rhys are hooking up."

"Really?" I chuckled.

"I walked in on them about to fuck on the couch." Taylor told me, apparently delighted by this. "Oh my god!" She laughed. "I love it, they'll be so cute together. Do you think they'll date? Oh my god we could go on double dates! And I think..."

"I think someone's a little too invested in this." I told her, and she stuck out her tongue at me. "Leave them be kitten, it's their relationship."

"Yeah but I'm nosy and invested in my best friend!" Taylor whined, coming over and climbing onto my lap with a huff. "Well at least it temporarily made me forget finding out about who killed our baby." She said miserably, ducking her head down to rest against my shoulder.

"Oh kitten, I know." I rested my arms around her. I still hurt every day thinking about the family we could have had.

"I want to go on birth control." Taylor mumbled. "I'm not ready to be pregnant again and we're having unprotected sex."

"Okay, we can make that happen. How about I make you a doctor's appointment and you can choose what kind of birth control you feel most comfortable using?" I offered, and Taylor nodded. "And whenever you're ready, if you're ever ready to have a baby, you tell me okay kitten? It's all up to you."

"Thank you baby." Taylor placed her hand on top of mine and squeezed it gently. "It might take me a while, but we're still young. It's okay."

I kissed her hair as she sighed, suddenly wilting a little. I just held her, knowing her mood might be all over the place while she adjusted to another change, having me home, working with me, processing all of the trauma she was going through. Things were a little off with me as well since it was so strange to be suddenly back to my normal life, and I was still a little on edge.

"I want you to know something kitten." I said after a while, and Taylor's fingers fluttered against my hand to let me know she was listening. "If you decide you're never ready to be pregnant again, I don't care. We can use a surrogate, we can adopt, or we can never had kids. I just want to be with you."

"You'd do that for me?" Taylor whispered, lifting her head to meet my gaze. There were tears in her baby blue eyes like she was shocked.

"Kitten I would do anything for you." I cupped her jaw, stroking her cheek with my thumb. "Anything. I just want to be with you, that's all I care about."

"I love you." Taylor breathed, gazing so deeply into my eyes it was like she could read my thoughts. "Travis, baby I love you so much." She mumbled, clutching my hand tighter. "No one's ever loved me like you do."

"I love you with my whole heart little kitten." I told her, and Taylor smiled adorably. "I also got you something." I said quietly. "While you were out. I thought you might like to have it ready for when you needed it."

"What?" Taylor whispered.

"I brought Gomez in." I told her. "Selena's father. Someone went out to find him and bringing him back now. I thought you might like to know the truth as soon as possible."
