[Rina's POV]

Joining the Park clan was a whirlwind, and with each passing day, I was immersed deeper into a world of chaos and danger. I struggled to find my footing, but Jay's presence was both comforting and frustrating.

I found myself at a training session, surrounded by members honing their skills. Jay was in his element, directing others with confidence. Watching him, I felt a mix of admiration and annoyance.

"Why are you here?" One of the guys, Sunghoon, approached me, his tone skeptical.

"I'm part of this now," I replied defensively.

"Is that what you think?" he asked, crossing his arms. "You think you can just waltz in here?"

Jay overheard and stepped in. "Back off, Sunghoon. She's got potential."

"Potential?" Sunghoon laughed, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "In this world? She doesn't belong here."

Jay's warning tone made Sunghoon step back. "Because she's part of the family now," Jay shot back, determination flooding through him.

As the training continued, I felt the weight of their judgments bearing down on me. I had to earn their respect, but it felt impossible. Jay's presence was the only thing grounding me, but I hated that I relied on him.

Later, when we were alone, I confronted him. "Why do you care what they think? I can handle myself."

He looked at me, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Because I see something in you. Something worth protecting."

"Protecting? Is that why you brought me here? Because I'm your project?" I shot back, feeling anger boil inside me.

"No, it's because I think you can be more than just a pawn," he replied, his voice steady. "You can be a player."

I rolled my eyes, frustrated. "I'm not a player in your game, Jay."

"Maybe you should start thinking of it that way," he said, a hint of challenge in his voice.
