I don't get how people do it. How do they deal with the pressures of life and stay sober?
I could really use a drink. Just the smell of the alcohol draws me in. I miss the bitter taste in my mouth.
You know what I miss even more? Nothing could give me the same release I got every time I would let that needle pierce my veins. It made me forget everything.
Everything was easier then. No worries. No cares. Just emptiness.
Life is hard sober. I'm so aware. so present.
I wanna give in but then I remember all I have been through, all God has done for me. I'm alive. I can't give up.
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
