Second Chance

Sydney spent a few days trying to process everything with Ellia, they were young and it happened quite fast and it was quite an emotional time for Sydney. With Matteo breaking up with her and jumping into another relationship and that relationship ended while it was still fresh, it wasn't great nor best idea. Once that happened, Sydney was a mess, she started wondering maybe it didn't work out with Amber was because it was going too good for them and she ended things with Sydney. Relationships are quite difficult while being young and learning who you are.

Sydney was in her room, letting Seth painting her toenails when Veronica entered, "Alright so it's been days and you have to tell me everything." Hurried over to the bed, "Seth, you know anything at the moment?"

Seth shrugged, "Not much but she is constantly groaning and sighing, and she's wearing your black sweatshirt and sweatpants which she never does it before. I'm assuming it means she's down?"

Veronica nodded, "Oh yeah. And she only does it whenever she's down and borrowed my clothes. I mean, she looks absolutely amazing in them, I have the best style of clothing. Also you better get a hold of it because moms are starting to notice the clothes and know you only do this whenever you're feeling down. And is timing to see what's going on and will talk to you."

Sydney annoyingly groaned, "Yes I know and it's a matter of time that they will! It came to this, wearing your black and grey clothes, no I'm still going through it with Ellia. She explained everything and we talked, it was a good talk and cleared a few things which I understand. But still, I don't know if I want to be friends with her again or..."

Veronica widened her eyes, "Or get back together. Seriously?"

Seth was surprised too, "Back together with your ex. What you want to do? You want to get back together or just be friends again? Or not be friends and continued doing what you're doing."

Sydney sighed, "That's the thing, I'm actually leaning towards getting back together with her. Because yeah I rushed it when I just got dumped by Matteo and I just wanted to forget about him. And she was happy finally being with me, but it wasn't the time as she left with her parents to explore out. Will it be crazy if I get back together with her?"

Veronica and Seth glanced at each other, not sure what advice they should give Sydney, Veronica being the first, "You were just 14 and immature and relationships can be weird and hard and frustrating and confusing but you two are 17 now. And she's back in the city, maybe that's a sign for a second chance and make it right. A chance to see where it goes. Just go for it, Syd. If you don't, who knows what it'll happen. Relationships are so weird and confusing but you got this!"

Sydney chuckled, "Yeah true. Ellia really is beautiful and great to see her again, and I have been leaning towards in getting back together but there's one thing I'm worried about."

"About what?"

"What you worried about?"

Sydney sighed, confessing, "It's about Amber. Yes we're friends and I see us getting back together but I know now's not the time. Especially with her not being out to her family which is fine and I get it. I understand it and support her. You think she would be fine with me dating again? In another relationship?"

Veronica putting her hair up in a bun, "I think she would think it's great. And support and want you to be happy. She would think it's a great idea for you to date someone else."

Seth nodded, "Yeah she'll be happy for you. You two are friends, anything can happen."

Sydney softly smiled, knowing they're right and she would be happy for her. And anything can happen if it didn't work out with her and Ellia. But she feels it would work out.
