The Darkest Hour

After November came and went, December followed and Seth followed the advice of those around him to date and meet some guys. Get the feel of what it's like in the dating around. Especially with Alistair hasn't returned, that he know of.

Seth actually went on some dates but none really stick but at least he's getting the chance to experience dating and enjoying being out.

While having lunch with Dante, Seth let out a sigh, "Dating really is weird. I went out on multiple dates with a few guys but none really stick, you know? Guess I'm looking for someone in particular."

Dante nodded, "Yeah, you have that look in your eyes. Who is the guy you want though?"

Shaking his head, "No one. Just... A dream that won't probably happen, I don't know. Knowing he's always disappearing for days, weeks, I guess I am waiting but I don't know. What about you? What have you been up to?"

Dante softly smiled, "Well, it's been a week now since my dad has finally got his shit together and finally man up in being a parent after losing my mom. His finally being involved with Aaron, he's only four and only knows me being a second dad, but dad is now doing something with help of my aunt and uncle. It feels strange because he's always with me, always taking care of him and now, I can finally breathe and be able to do what I want."

Kyle finally arrived, ordered and went to join them, Seth smiled, and back to Dante, "I think that's great Dante. You can be a teen."

"What's going on?" Kyle asked as he took his jacket off, Dante explained and Kyle smiled and happy for him.

"That's cool, so what are you going to do?"

Dante chuckled, "There's alot but there's one thing that I want to do, which would be giving Veronica a chance."

Kyle and Seth's smiles dropped slowly, Kyle's food came, he sighed but laughs, "Veronica, huh? Well I don't think that's going to happen. She's with someone now."

Dante was surprised, "Wait what? When?"

Kyle spoke up, "Weeks ago, it'll be about almost a month I think or two. But it looks serious and I'm happy for my sister. Finally found someone that's great and wanted her."

Seth took a bite out of his burger and noticed the annoyance in Dante but he shake it off, Dante cleared his throat, "Oh so she found a new guy? Damn, so who's the guy?"

"Marcellus Siphron, he's a great guy, funny, caring, patient and really someone that makes Veronica happy. Which is great seeing her so happy."

Dante sighed, "Alright, what's with the passive aggressive comments, Kyle? I get it, I blew it the first time when Veronica first asked me out. She knew I wasn't ready for it with me handling my brother and you know it too."

Kyle was annoyed, "What pisses me off thinking now that everything, yes we understand you couldn't do anything because you were raising your little brother. Which is great, great brother. But now that you have free time, you think now's the time to finally ask Veronica out. She's finally with someone."

Dante is growing irritated, "It can't be that serious."

Seth trying to not be in the middle of it, hoping they don't glanced at him, thankfully they didn't. They left him out of it, although Seth was worried it would cause him to pick a side. He tried to calm them down, trying not to pick a side of who's right, luckily he spotted Lycaon casually walking past the dinar, so he quietly paid the meal and left, it was getting too much and awkward.

Catching up to Lycaon, "Hey Lycaon!"

Lycaon turned around to Seth, "Oh hey man. What's with you?"

Seth sighed, "Just needed to get away from my friends for a bit. Not in the mood to be caught in the middle and picking sides. Not really me. So you don't mind if I just hang with you, for a bit that is."
