Advice Given

Alistair's POV

Advice on how to be a good partner in a healthy relationship, Porter and Alaska are the people to go to since they're married and well, the ones I thought of first.
Porter wasn't home since they're out working, Alaska my beautiful avalanche. Tying my hair up and relaxed myself on the couch, "So married life, tell me, is it something you wanted? What made you want to be that committed?" Watching Alaska with her hair up in a bun, taking out some stuff for dinner and some drinks, "Well, I saw it as a joke with how I saw marriage between my aunt and uncle. They weren't the best examples to learn, always barking orders, yelling and screaming. I knew marriage was not my future. Especially to a man, oh hell no. I knew I preferred prettiness since I was just 13. But I met Porter, that beautifully handsome, well, back then, they were just beautiful, I was just 17 and graduated early from highschool, I couldn't stay there in Alaska or with my aunt and uncle. The cold was annoying as hell. So I left and not long my damn car broke down and that's when I got attacked. I still don't know who was that wolf, yeah he shifted back but his name, giving me that bite and the eyes, just pure evil."

I grip my fists, full of anger if what Alaska is about to say, and she sensed it, she took my hands and softly caressed them, "Hey, he didn't, alright? He didn't even try to get that far. Listen to my heart, listen for a lie because there isn't." I listened carefully and took a huge deep breath of relief, if it wasn't for the candles and the tea, I would've gone crazy.

"It's just... You don't ever forget it. I spent 5 years thinking that shit was normal and the way of a relationship. I want to be a better man and partner and mate for Seth. I marked him."
She instantly widened her eyes in surprise and almost choked on her tea, "Wait, you serious?! Mahina was serious about that? So no more hooking around with any guy? You're done? No more? What about your usual disappearance?"

"I... I don't really know about disappearing for weeks at end, still figuring it out. But yes, Mina was serious about me marking Seth. And yeah, no more hooking around anymore. I got someone now, so tell me, how you know Porter was the one to be with, not only that but marry."

"Well with us meeting, being friends, sleeping around just for fun with each other, to us getting together. Porter was the one that took the first step, were just weeks and became a couple. And two years later, I knew I wanted them forever, they marked me a year later that time. And marriage in our way, was something we took control of. No pressure from my aunt and uncle about hurry up and find someone, their marriage was so damn bad. So I hated that thought but with Porter, I can't see my life without them. Sometimes I misgender them but they don't mind, them or she. I love them. And for Porter, escaping from that religious club they grew up in, always been told their purpose in life was to become a wife and bare babies. Was arranged to get married at 14, to a damn perverted old creep. Thankfully they left before that could happen. Marriage was a scary life for them but meeting me and helping them discover more of themselves, they wanted marriage because it's what they want. Taking control of what they want and how it's done. They made the move, they made the choice and decision to marry me. And we did and look at us, yes we have arguments and disagreements but we made sure to make up because we can never be too mad at each other. That's my partner. My babe. Marriage is weird but something to know that they're mine. Don't even think about it, wait until that kid is older, but communication. And patience. You can do this, Ali."

I gave them a smile, I am worried about messing it up, terrified of hurting Seth, with Alaska's advice, and just in time, Porter came, taking off their leather jacket, putting out the cigarette when they saw me, they always make me uneasy, the smell and awful memories.

"Someone is visiting, nice!" They first pulled Alaska in for a kiss and sat down, Alaska explained the rundown.

"Alright, well, relationships are never easy, but know it takes work. But it's worth it to have someone by your side."
