Chapter 22

The next day, after a good night and with my mind at ease, I was in such a good mood that I suggested to Mina that we go shopping in the afternoon. Miraculously, she accepted. So I found myself walking around the mall with her, chatting about anything and everything whenever something caught our attention. And after spending a lot of money, especially Mina, we went for an ice cream, which we ate sitting on one of the benches in the nearby park.

Mina: "By the way, Y/n, I wanted to thank you for that time a little while ago."

Y/n: "What are you talking about?"

Mina: "About the time...you came into my room and...saw me and Chaeyoung kissing."

Y/n: "What?! But I've never seen that!"

She looked at me helplessly, as what she'd just said hit my brain a second time.

Y/n: "Wait, you're in a relationship?"

She nodded slightly, as a smile appeared on my face. I was really happy that this long-awaited relationship was confirmed.

Y/n: "That's great! How long has it been?"

Mina: "It's been two and a half years."

Y/n: "That's great, I'm very happy for you. I can assure you, though, that I've never seen you two kiss."

Mina: "But if it wasn't you, who was it?"

Y/n: "I have no idea."

Mina: "Chaeyoung and I were convinced it was you. It was dark and we didn't have time to see who was standing at the door, but we really thought it was you. I'll have to warn her that we made a mistake, and that there's another one of the girls who knows we're a couple, though we don't know which one."

I thought back to Sana, who had happily announced during the morning that she and Jihyo were finally a couple.

Y/n: "I'm beginning to be surprised at the number of not-so-straight people in the group."

Mina: "What do you mean?"

Y/n: "With you and Chaeyoung, that makes six."

Mina: "Six?!"

Y/n: "Yes, I'm really surprised too."

Mina: "Who are the others?"

Y/n: "For the moment, the only one I can tell you is me."

Mina: "We suspected that with Chaeyoung. And you're in a relationship with Jeongyeon, aren't you?"

Y/n: "What?! Not at all."

Mina: "Really? But you love her, it's not possible otherwise."

I answered shyly.

Y/n: "It could be true..."

Mina: "I was sure of it. But when I think of the way you look at each other, I can't believe you're not together."

Y/n: "Well, no, we're not. Although I'd love to."

Mina: "Knowing Jeongyeon she just doesn't want to make the first move. She could spend her life loving you without ever admitting it, even if she found out from someone else that you loved her too."

Y/n: "What? But why?"

Mina: "Because she's content with what she has. And because she's crazy, mostly."

Y/n: "I hope what you're saying is true."

Mina: "You hope she's crazy? We really don't have the same desires, Y/n."
