Chapter 24

In the evening, once in our room, Jeongyeon and I moved our beds next to each other so that we could sleep together comfortably. Not wanting the other girls to suspect anything, and not wanting to disturb them, we tried not to make any noise. But Jeongyeon being Jeongyeon, and me not being much better than her, we often made noise. For several minutes, no noise would be heard, then suddenly, one of us would bang or drop something.

Finally, after about twenty minutes of moving everything very slowly, we were finally able to lie down in our new large bed.

Jeongyeon: "I'm exhausted."

Y/n: "Me too. It's a good thing that tomorrow is our last day."

Jeongyeon: "See, that's why I don't want to do a solo album. It requires a lot of extra work. And unfortunately I still haven't regained my former vivacity."

Y/n: "As much as I'd love you to do a solo album, I think in this case it's better that you don't. I don't want you to overwork yourself."

Jeongyeon: "Anyway, I think it's admirable that you wrote all the songs on your album."

Y/n: "Thanks, I really wanted to make it personal."

Jeongyeon: "That makes me wondering something."

Y/n: "Tell me."

Jeongyeon: "That song we both sing...there's a reason you only wanted to sing it with me, isn't there?"

Y/n: "I think the reason is now obvious."

She smiled tenderly, her eyes half-closed, which made her look really adorable.

Jeongyeon: "That's true."

I reached out to caress her cheek and tuck her hair behind her ear.

Jeongyeon: "Anyway, it was a really good idea."

Y/n: "It's definitely the best idea I've ever had."

Jeongyeon: "Or at least the one that had the best consequences."

Y/n: "That's for sure."

We looked at each other, smiling.

Jeongyeon: "Well, shall we go to sleep? We need to be in good shape for tomorrow."

I nodded before stretching out my arm to turn off the light, before changing my mind.

Y/n: "Wait, I think we forgot something."

Jeongyeon: "I know exactly what you mean."

She smiled at me before coming up to me and placing a short kiss on my lips.

Y/n: "Perfect, we can sleep now."

I turned off the light and let Jeongyeon take me in her arms. I was really comfortable, it was cosy and warm, and nothing brought me more serenity than Jeongyeon's body against mine.

My mind, drained of energy, couldn't focus on anything but Jeongyeon. It was just her, nothing else. I was just calm and serene.

I tried to stay awake longer to enjoy our closeness, but I was so tired that evening that I fell asleep in just a few minutes.

I opened my eyes to the sound of the alarm that went off at the same time almost every morning. I immediately smiled as I remembered what had happened the day before. My little Y/n loved me, and I couldn't have hoped for anything better. And speaking of Y/n, she turned around to hug me and bury her face in my neck.
