Jeongyeon x fem reader (+Sahyo)

Chapter 6

I advise you to watch the video, as this performance will be mentioned several times in the rest of the story. If for some reason you don't watch it, you should at least know that it's a love song sung only by Jeongyeon and Nayeon, where the choreography has them having lots of physical interaction, and where they pretend to kiss at the end.

That evening, we went for that long-awaited karaoke. The idea came to me as I was thinking about how much I would like to hear Jeongyeon sing more. Indeed, I really liked her voice, and couldn't get enough of it. To hear her sing something other than Twice songs was a blessing.

The first to sing that evening was Nayeon, followed by Jeongyeon. Sana gave me amused glances while I was completely focused on Jeongyeon, who sang and did a few dance moves in front of us. She sang incredibly well. The power of her voice filled the room with nothing to stop it, to my delight. The song obviously ended too quickly for me, but there was nothing I could do about it. After that, it was Momo's turn. Without realizing it, we followed the order from oldest to youngest. So I came seventh, between Mina and Dahyun. I chose to sing my favorite song for the occasion (if your favorite song is a Twice song...well, you'll have to find another one, sorry). I gave it my all for this performance. I did my best to impress the girls, not forgetting to have some fun in the process. At the end, I was happy to see Jeongyeon applauding me.

Jeongyeon: "You really deserve a solo, Y/n."

She was soon to have a surprise regarding that.

Y/n: "You too, Jeongyeon."

Jeongyeon: "I'd love to do a duet with you one day, if I ever make a solo album."

I felt my heart miss a beat.

Y/n: "I'd really like to."

We looked at each other, smiling, under the girls' attentive eyes.

Sana: "Come on, it's your turn Dahyun!"

We then continued our karaoke evening. Once each of us had sung the song of her choice, we all sang together to music from other K-pop groups. We had a great time, especially thanks to Jeongyeon who managed to get the lyrics wrong even though they were right in front of her, and Momo who did her best to sing as badly as possible, which we all ended up doing. After that amusing evening, we all slept well until late in the morning. And while the days leading up to the concert went smoothly, everything got complicated on the big day.

First of all, we were almost an hour and a half late arriving at the concert hall due to a car accident that had completely blocked traffic. After being bored the whole time, the atmosphere changed dramatically as soon as we got backstage. Everyone was rushing to make sure we were ready on time. And as if we didn't have enough problems as it was, barely thirty minutes before the show was due to go on stage, poor Nayeon was forced to monopolize the toilet as her bowels looked like they were going to empty completely. It was obvious that she wouldn't be able to perform with us that night. And if knowing that the fans would be disappointed by her absence wasn't enough, we had to go on stage knowing that Nayeon couldn't go home, not because any of the staff were able to bring her back, but because her bowels wouldn't give her time to reach the toilet. Needless to say that our ability to handle stress was put to the test.

Dahyun: "But who's going to sing Nayeon's parts?"

Jihyo: "It's best to leave it to the backing track. We don't have time to divide up all her lines. But we'll have to make sure everything else is perfect."

We all nodded, except Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon: "But how am I going to sing My Ear's Candy? I always do it with Nayeon, and there's no point in the performance if I'm on my own. And we can't afford to take a song off."

Jihyo: "The only way is to do another song instead."

In a burst of courage motivated by my love for Jeongyeon, I contradicted Jihyo.

Y/n: "Or I can replace Nayeon for this song."

Jihyo: "We're due on stage in twenty minutes and we're not even ready yet. You'll never have time to learn the choreography and lyrics."

Y/n: "I know, but if I suggest it, it's because I already know them."

I saw Jeongyeon's eyes light up.

Jeongyeon: "You're saving us Y/n."

I smiled at her.

Jihyo: "Are you okay with that Jeongyeon?"

Jeongyeon: "Of course."

It was "only" ten minutes late that we went on stage. It was great to see our fans again and interact with them, even though I'd just come back from a world tour. I always tried to get as close as possible to the fans and interact with them. Their smiles and admiring glances were priceless to me. Although the day had started badly, the rain was gradually giving way to sunshine. And this was only confirmed when it was finally time for me and Jeongyeon to perform My Ear's Candy. The fans were stunned when they heard the song start and screamed when they saw me on stage along with Jeongyeon. I had to concentrate like I'd never done before, because even though I knew the choreography, I couldn't confuse Nayeon's movements with Jeongyeon's, and on top of that I had to sing a song perfectly on the first try, which obviously never happens, even to the best.

Fortunately, I'd heard this performance by Nayeon and Jeongyeon hundreds

times. Let's just say that I've always been completely under the spell of Jeongyeon's voice in this performance, which pushed me to listen to her more than I should have, even though her proximity to Nayeon made me extremely jealous. I put my heart and soul into the performance, achieving what I thought was impossible, while making the most of the moment. I was so happy to be able to tell Jeongyeon that I love her in front of tens of thousands of people, thanks to this song.

And finally, the moment I'd been waiting for the longest arrived. The moment when Jeongyeon and I had to pretend to kiss. She grabbed me around the waist and pulled me close. I put my arms behind her neck and brought my face close to hers, while she did the same, and all the fans screamed like never before. I thought back to my conversation with Sana. All I had to do was lean in just a little bit more to finally have her lips against mine. But I didn't, even though feeling her warm breath against my lips in the few seconds before the lights went out had a terrible effect on me. It was then that I felt Jeongyeon rest her forehead against mine, as she gently held my face between her hands. She pulled back after a few seconds, leaving me alone with my unfulfilled yearning. After that, the concert quietly ended.

When we returned backstage, we went to check on Nayeon with our manager, who informed us that Nayeon had finally gone home. Sana took advantage of this distraction to pull me further back with her.

Sana: "Well?"

Y/n: "I...I didn't."

Sana: "Y/n..."

She sighed.

Y/n: "I didn't want my first kiss to be 'accidental'. I wanted Jeongyeon to kiss me out of love, not because I obliged her in any way."

Sana: "I understand. Offering you to replace Nayeon was already a good idea, and it was very brave."

I looked down.

Y/n: " Thanks."

Sana: "The fans were crazy."

Y/n: "Yes, I was very happy to hear them support my ship with Jeongyeon. But I have the impression that their screams weren't as loud as when she does it with Nayeon."

Sana: "I wouldn't know how to answer that. But it's still very good. I'm sure lots of new people will want to see you as a couple now. At least, even more than before."

Chaeyoung: "What are you girls talking about?"

Sana: "I was just telling Y/n that she did really well during My Ear's Candy."

Chaeyoung: That's right! It was great Y/n. Bravo!"

I smiled at her.

Y/n: "Thank you."

Jihyo: "Are you girls coming?"

Y/n: "Right away."

We then went to change and headed home, except for Dahyun, whose parents came straight to pick her up at the end of the concert since they'd attended it, to their daughter's delight.
