Everything was a muted bluish-grey, the valley a deep shade of green, was occasionally lit up by the lightning.
The moment my bare feet came in contact with the grass, the sky burst.
The rain fell like a spilt bag of pearls, shimmering in the light of the bulb, pretty and fragile.
The raindrops cooled against my burning skin; the grass tickled under my bare feet, and my slippers lay abandoned on the patio, forgotten in my haste to get away.
I didn't turn to look back at Jungkook, letting the cold rain hide my emotions. I could feel his gaze on me. Could imagine what he'd look like if I turned to look at him through the curtain of the rain.
But I was sinking.
When I closed my eyes, all I could see was the way his eyes had been shining as he had tied the thread to my finger, pure and so in love. The innocent, naive big doe eyes gazing at me from behind Jim hyung all those years ago, the eyes I was helpless before.

My breath seemed to be coming in little gasps. My chest constricted painfully. My eyes burned when I opened them again.
His words were ringing in my ears, so fragile.
The rain continued to fall, getting heavier by the minute, washing away my tears. My heart felt like my chest wasn't spacious enough for it any longer.
Why was I crying? Why did I feel like this?
There was a cold breeze and a shiver raced down my spine.
There were sparks on my skin, where tentative fingers curled around my cold hand, enveloping it.
