"Well, let's go." Sky, now in her dragon form, stood before the Shredder himself.
He attacked, just barely missing their scales.
If she wanted to stand a chance against something like this, she was gonna have to train way more.
Shredder quickly grabbed them by the neck and threw them into the nearest wall, when Karai and Shelldon ran out.
The Shredder suddenly snapped his head in their direction and ran to chase the two.
Transforming back into human, Sky fell to her knees. That was awful. She could've died.
No time for this! She can't just wait here. She has to help fight Shredder.
Running in the same direction he previously went, Sky walked out into the main space of the lair. Almost everything was on fire, the skate ramp completely, well, shredded, Leo's sword laying broken somewhere to the side.
Did someone tell Donnie they could go semi-lethal on the Shredder?
Sky snickered at her own joke and quickly floated down, where Karai was just showing everyone how to die heroically using ninpo.
Okay, maybe it isn't the right description, but what? Do you want me to feel things? Nuh uh. Not a chance. I will continue to describe everything in an oversimplified, pseudo-humorous manner, thank you.
"We can't stay here!" Sky shouted, grabbed Shelldon and ran to the garage. The turtles quickly followed.
"Everyone! To the tank!" She screamed again, but this time her command was met with resistance from almost everyone.
"Not without dad."
They didn't even have time to think, before one of the walls got smashed again, and the Shredder barreled into the room with Splinter and Draxum furiously trying to kick his ass.
"Go!" Splinter shouted and this time the turtles listened.
With everyone, including Shelldon, on board, Todd floored the gas pedal and got them all the hell out of there.
Amongst everyone crying and wailing after they lost their home, gram gram and probably fathers, Sky felt a bit... Out of place.
She was sitting silently in the corner, looking at nothing in particular. Right now their emotions consisted of an afterglow of adrenaline and a ghost of melancholy.
Was she sad? A bit.
But only a bit.
There was a disconnect between her and the four siblings, she always knew there was, but now seeing it, feeling it-
Or rather not feeling it.
It hit like a truck. Sky wasn't from around here. They treated everything like a show. They were purposefully cutting themself off from the emotions of this family.
Her emotional dilemmas gor interrupted when the tank finally stopped at Todd's place.
The turtles immediately started brainstorming a way to defeat Shredder ,while Todd was making 'weapons' for them, and right after receiving them, jumped into training with Shelldon and Sky cheering them on.
That is until Raph got frustrated because it wasn't working.
That's when Donnie walked up to Sky, pulling her off to the side.
"Why were you in the lab?" They asked, voice cold and full of suspicion.
"I, uh, don't know what you're talking about." She knew exactly what they were talking about. Was she really trying to lie to them? Did she even want to lie to them?
"I saw you in the living room, and yet you showed up at the lab right when Shredder attacked. Why?" Donnie was just getting more and more annoyed with every second, even if their tone stayed quiet.
Sky sighed. She's really doing it. "To- to save Shelldon." She looked at the floor, afraid of the expression that showed up on Donnie's face.
"How? How did you know Shredder was going to show up there? Are you working with him?!" They raised their voice a bit, but not as much to draw anyone's attention to the two.
"Okay, honestly it's going to sound like a big, fat lie." That's what Mei thought at first when Sky told her. "But please, let me finish." She pleaded.
When Donnie nodded, Sky took a long, shaky breath and started. "You know the show I showed you some time ago, right? Monkie Kid?"
Tello nodded in response.
"I, uh. Know Mei personally. And everyone else. It's all real." Stress bubbled in her stomach.
"Okay... But that doesn't answer my question."
"You know, if Mei is real and also a character in a show... That means... uh, that... Anyone... could be." Donnie nodded again. Sky took another deep breath. The adrenaline and stress levels in her body were probably off the charts right now.
"You are too." She blurted out.
Tello's eyes went wide, but they quickly dropped this expression in favor of their thinking face. "It- does make sense. Still sounds like a lie, but would definitely clarify some things."
"If you don't believe me, I can prove it."
"I don't fully believe you. But it makes sense. The way you act around us is... different." Sky raised an eyebrow, but didn't ask about what exactly they meant.
"But a proof would be nice."
"Okay, let's see. You believe that Earth has a second, smaller moon called Moon Jr., in Origami Tsunami the writers didn't even know what personality traits to give you four, in the first episode Mikey thought for a second that you are all part imitation crab, and in a few minutes April should show up to teach you the art of ninpo." Sky spat out in a few seconds." Also if you want, I have a few of your pictures on my phone. Mostly fanarts."
"Wha- okay, okayokay... Where are we? In the show I mean." Looks like Donnie has finally started believing Sky. And if not outward believing, then at least they agreed to see the vision.
"Season 2 finale. After that is only the movie, but it's..." Her eyes widened in a mixture of shadows of pain and suffering. Sky sighed deeply, their gaze returning to Donnie's face. "heavy. And traumatizing."
Well, now she's spooked the softshell. "Is there a way to prepare?"
"I don't want to break the space-time continuum, but yes. Ready the Donniepods."
"When?"
"317-39.4 in progress." It honestly sounded like something a prophet from ancient Greece would drop on some poor soul who just seeks guidance in a poor life situation.
Tello looked like they were about to ask something else, but Aprils "Hey guys!" and a sick save from her face meeting the ground turned their attention away.
"Told you."
