𝖝𝖛. BACK IN MY MIND
The dimly lit theater was quiet. Which was usual given the circumstance that made them be there in the first place. But the thing is— Harley is seething. She digs her nails so hard against her palm they start to bleed against her pristine bleach skin. She wasn't sure where this sudden anger appeared from.
As in back of her mind there is tugging sensation that she is not good enough. Even with reliving and continuing to watch what are some heroic moments of her multiple past selves, she is not a hero. And she will never be one. Maybe because before all this she was planning and scheming.
Sure, she had lied to the room about how she moved on and wanted nothing but peace. But inside she is seething with pain. Because, Harley is going to kill the Joker.
She is not sure if this is to show her that she is capable of being good and to not go down that path but she has other plans set in mind. As when this is all over, she is going to get rid of that stupid green haired clown boy who—
"Harley?"
She blinks out of her thoughts and turns to the bodyguard who knows how to read her. Happy does not say anything after calling her name but it seem to snap whatever dark thought seems to invade her mind. He simply nudges his head to the side. Her cornflower blue eyes follow his line of sight and there are the kids.
MJ. Ned. Peter. A reminder of one of the few good things that are left in her life. Letting out a shaky breath, her eyes drift back to the screen to watch.
"Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something...And I end up eating you, I'm sorry." Peter comes down as he hangs upside down from the web. Tony points at Peter, "I don't wanna hear another single pop culture out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?"
"I'm trying to say that something is coming." Peter states as that's when the grenade rolls into view, and Peter, Strange and Tony get back. Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis appear in the doorway. Drax yells, 'Thanos.' Cloak of levitation flies at Drax's face and whips him around. Star-Lord pins Tony.
"While crawling backward from Mantis. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Please don't put your eggs in me!" Peter crawls backwards. Peter webs Mantis' arms to her body, and Quill flies at him in front the side, kicking him down. Quill looks at them, "Stay down, clown."
Tony fires at Quill as Peter tries to escape, but Quill throws a cord that wraps around Parker sending him to the ground. Drax struggles with the cloak. "Die, blanket of death!"
