"I'm not a good person."
Those words echo in Bruce's mind as he stares at the ex-jester. He could not find himself to tell her the opposite. Because she was not a good person. But it was the circumstance and cycle of abuse she fell in to that cause her to be like that. But she is different now, she changed. Regardless of whatever she has done, she found the strength to finally leave the abusive cycle.
She did a bad thing, yes. But along the lines, words, media, it seems to be forgotten that Harleen Quinzel is a victim.
"Harley-" he whispered so low but her blue eyes gaze into his, then back to the screen that brightens up.
"Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." The film starts with reflection in a puddle, displaying a man bouncing a ball on the floor of a prison cell. After the camera moves, Savant throws the ball at an X on the wall. A small yellow bird flies down Savanat throws a ball killing bird, the ball slowly rolls back to Savant. "I got another fifteen."
"Not today, you don't. You're up." Amanda Waller's door opens and leads him through Belle Reve Prison. Waller looks at him, "You know the deal. Successfully complete the mission, you get ten years off your sentence."
"You fail to follow my orders in any way and I detonate the explosive device in the base of your skull." Waller's voice heard over the scene, Savant is flung into a chair. Behind him, a doctor puts a latex glove on and implements a tiny explosive in the back of Savant's head. Amanda continues voice over, "We are a black ops unit. Meaning, nothing you see here ever happened."
"Savant." Rick Flag walking down offering his hand to Savant who is dressed up. Amanda's voice narrates over the scene. "Your commanding officer will be Colonel Rick Flag."
"Flaggy looks different." Harley tilted her head to study the version of Rick Flag being presented on the screen. She has not seen him in awhile given her focus being on other matters. But during the blip they had bonded and in some ways he had become her best friend. Bucky tilts his head. "You know Rick? And he tolerates you?"
"Wow, that is just mean." Harley starts off as she faces the ex-winter soldier. Natahsa rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, about how the blonde needs to stop being dramatic. Bucky's cheek turned very light pink. "Didn't mean to offend you but that guy is worse than Steve when it comes to focusing on mission."
