From the ridge overlooking the town you could see that it looked strikingly different from a human settlement. For one, it had had to be pointed out to you. The town seemed primitive from above as all you could make out was a high tree canopy and the occasional cloth banner or flag poking through the leaves to show any sign of civilization. Kara promised you that it would look much different from the ground.

"I'm sorry." You heard the small feminine voice behind you and turned to see Heilan approaching with her head lowered. Her tail was practically between her legs as she got closer and stopped, leaving a few feet of room.

"What?"

"You left me in a bit of a state after our last encounter so I didn't get a chance to say it. Sorry for losing my head a bit for the past weeks. I just couldn't help myself. But yesterday you gave me the same feeling that Djir did. At that time I felt like I could think only of you. Even if it was just for a moment." She shrugged lightly.
"I dunno if I can promise anything, but I'm going to at least try, because I'm able to now."

Your jaw dropped. Kara definitely did something while she was in your body. You knew for a fact that in terms of dominant beastfolk, she was incredibly domineering when she wanted to be. You guessed that a lot of that was leveled against Heilan. You liked to think that she did it intentionally to do you a favor, but there was also just a chance that Kara found it fun the same way you found your prank to be fun.
"Just... Remember that feeling." You offer, trying to retain the dominant air. Heilan tilts her head quizzically at you before nodding and returning to the group. As you watched, you saw Kara standing on her own. The old man casually walked up to her and dug his old hand into her soft rear. She jumped and turned to look at him angrily. He seemed a bit surprised by her expression but then, probably remembering what you said, doubled down and forced a kiss along with an aggressive grope of her breast. She was hesitant, then wrapped her arms around him and 'gave in' to the advances. The man was very satisfied, then grew more and more tired as he worked to 'dominate' her until he finally slumped down. Kara shot you a look, to which you responded with a wink. She rolled her eyes at you and left the old man slumped over as though he was a walking corpse.

Kara moved to stand at the head of the group and motioned everyone in. "Alright. Listen up. This is a Demonkine village. They're actually pretty nice." She stared pointedly at the humans in the group that were shooting doubting glances at each other.
"Only thing is, Humans are not commonly seen except as slaves. The bright side is, what we call a slave is more just what you'd call a servant. So you don't gotta be in chains and we don't gotta whip you, unless you're into that." She scanned the crowd for takers. When no one volunteered she continued.
"The ones that'll easily pass here are.." She began pointing at individuals.
"Elf, Shell, Me, Dog and..." She pointed, surprisingly, at you.
"Hero."

You approached her. "Me?"

"The problem is mostly what people look like on the inside. You are like me, and like the shell over there." She pointed to Raithe.
"So, if you just hide your ears nobody will know. Everyone else could've done the same but the problem was, if someone who could sense magic looked at the group we'd be caught."

"Okay." You nodded.
"Makes sense."

Kara shouted past you. "We have two carts so we can easily pass as traders. That's the story, if anyone asks." She waited for everyone to acknowledge what she said before breaking up the group into their carts.

You pulled a cloak with a hood so that you could hang it over your head to hide the fact that you don't have ears. Kara approached you specifically and stuff two rolls of cloth on either side and fastened them.
"That's gonna look a bit more natural." She paused, then smiled at you affectionately.
"Nice prank, by the way." The woman stuck her tongue out at you, as if to say that it did not work. At least, not initially.
