"Okay, so how does this work?" You asked the orc. He had brought you back to his tent, away from the prying eyes and ears of the of the circus area he occupied. Instead, the tent you were pulled into was a very minimalist space. As soon as you decided to recruit Malek he let you in on the fact that he was the only orc present in the whole territory, and that he had built the tiny enclave himself out of 'interested' followers.
"How do you take someones 'manliness?'" You had decided to target the prince, so that was the path you were walking down. It was more imperative that you learn the more specialized side of the orc's techniques, rather than just his general methods. The upside of the situation was of course that you stood to lose nothing. It was in fact on Malik to train you properly before you had to leave, otherwise he would have to 'become your bitch.' That being said, the man was very confident even though there was likely only a few days left before Kara was done working off the supplies your group was being given.
"It's pretty easy, since it wasn't theirs to begin with."
"Right... But what does that propaganda do for me?" You question.
"It does a lot. For one thing, believing it is part of exerting the amount of force of will necessary to drag it out of someone else."
"Feels like a trick. To believe that there are no non-orc males would be to believe the same thing about myself." You were firm enough that Malik relented with a light chuckle and shrugged.
"Ah, yeah. Seems you're too smart for that. It's true, but I also mentioned you're an honorary orc, Hero. Besides, it doesn't matter how much of a girl you believe you are or should be. If you're absorbing the masculinity of others then the results are going to speak for themselves." It was a tempting line of thought. Still, it was not one you wanted to partake in. Then he clarified.
"To a point. Your teacher did a number on your core. There's definitely limits to what you can actually gain out of all this.""I've already come to terms with what she's done. I'm focused on moving forward at this point with what I'm able to change, rather than dwell on things I can't."
"Hoho, maybe you are enough of a man to know this stuff." He clapped his large hands together sarcastically.
"You know... All the Heroic traits belonged to my people, as well. There's a thought that heroes are closer to orcs, no matter what gender they're pretending to be."
"Of course. Everything was stolen from your people, everything came from your people. Do I have to believe that truly to get anything out of this or can we cut to the chase?" You shot back impatiently.
Malik laughed. "Most of it is pretty practical. We're a religious people but it takes a 'priest' to know that a lot of it is just tricks." He winked.
"A lot of truth in it, too, but that's besides the point.""I knew it..."
Malik waved dismissively. "Yeah, yeah." He leaned back where he was sitting and spread his legs somewhat dominantly. A tamed beastwoman entered the tent to occupy the space. She began idly licking and tending to his member without a second thought. Malik barely seemed to acknowledge her and simply continued.
"What it's really about is feeding your core while starving others. How does your fox girl magic work exactly?" You bristled slightly at him calling your magic 'fox girl magic' no matter how accurate that may have been. Setting aside your annoyance you took some time to explain what you knew about it. How your mana is drawn from natural energies, but when push comes to shove it can be taken from men and women through sex in smaller quantities. The orc seemed very interested.
"I heard a lot of that second hand, but you actually cleared a few things up for me."
"What's that?"
"Foxes are stupid." You cocked your head to one side as he said that.
"Yeah. Normal mages expand their core throughout their life like a muscle. The coven, it looks like, trains their bodies to act more like conduits. Really good if you're around areas rich in natural mana like Demonkine. Really poor if you're in a city.... Or a barren wasteland."
