"Uh, no thanks." The place looked very lively, but it was not familiar to you. You did not know what fortune or misfortune working would bring. Aside from that, you were not sure why you should work when Kara seemed to have it covered for the most part. While she looked disappointed by your answer Cerius was not phased. He merely pat you on the shoulder roughly.

"Perfectly fine." He slapped Kara's ass loudly with his other hand, causing her to jump and shout.

"Ah!"

"This girl here is enough of a draw, already!" Cerius laughed, letting you go.

"Kara's a draw, but she isn't going to draw attention? We're in enemy territory, right?" You looked to her quizzically. Kara shook her head.

"Cerius has a lot of influence here so we're safe."

Cerius butt in. "My customers pay for discretion. What happens here stays here. Those who leave can not divulge secrets. Anyone that sees this girl here, or you for that matter, will only be able to say whether or not they had a good time, and the general reason why." He pointed to Kara.
"So anyone that views her will not be able to let on that they saw her in here, exactly. Just that there was a very talented fox dancing that night. They wont even remember her if they know her. My havens give people a license to commit sin and debauchery without consequences. It is a very lucrative business. The oldest business."

"I bet... I hear it's the oldest profession." You commented idly.

Kara smiled at Cerius, then walked you away for a few seconds. She leaned in to say. "Cerius is a demi-god, like Coda. It's likely his is the oldest business. Man's been around as long as I can remember."

Your eyes widened. "Is he... Dangerous?"

She glanced back, then returned her gaze to you. "Only if you mess with his bottom line. Otherwise he's just a..." She sighed.
"He's a bit of a degenerate, even by my standards."

Your jaw dropped. "That is saying something."

Kara punched your arm before stepping away. "Relax. Do whatever you like. Shouldn't take too long to get out of here." As she began stepping away she turned and stopped.
"Oh. Even if you don't remember who or what you dealt with in here, you're still leaving with the emotions and feelings you felt. Cerius would go out of business if his customers also left behind all the shit they got into here." With that cryptic warning she walked back towards Cerius and the two left.

You reached out within the tent to find out where the group was. Most of them were milling about in the seating area near the entrance where drinks and food was being served. You returned to them and first found Jeane looking after Raithe.
"Thanks for keeping an eye on her."

"It is fine. For some reason she is attached to me, as well. I could not tell you why."

"Maybe it's because you're a dark elf?"

"Perhaps." As she handed Raith off to you she hesitantly asked.
"Have you... Considered what we talked about before?"

"Your relationship suggestion?"

"Are you still obsessed with that ridiculous fox woman?"

You considered the question. You had not thought about it in a little while, which for you was surprising the moment you realized it. "I think maybe bonding with her on different levels has made me less obsessed? We are actually in a good place right now. I'm not too mad at her and she is acting with a lot more maturity for some reason." Her maturity was part of what drew you to her to begin with. Ironically, as she adopted more responsibility you felt that attraction returning.
