Chapter 18

Nate's POV

"No baby, NOW kick your legs over" Ana said. She was helping Annica work on her back bends and walk-overs for gymnastics tonight. "Okay now try all by yourself" she told her, backing up. Annica layed on the floor to start herself to get the feel of the back bend. "Annica you have to bend back and touch to the floor, you can't cheat and lay on the ground" Ana giggled. "I KNOW!" Annica yelled. "Hey, no yelling, I can keep you home tonight" I told her. She pouted at me, "No pouting! Keep working" I said. She stood up and bent backwards, her hands hitting the floor. She carefully brought one leg after the other over her head and successfully did her back bend and walkover. "Good job!" Ana and I said clapping. "You did it munchkin" Ana smiled. Annica jumped up on her feet happy she accomplished her task. "I wanna show uncle Sammy!" She said. "He's with Julianna goofball" I laughed. "We can show everyone tomorrow when they come over okay?" Ana told her. I nodded, "Okayyyy" she said. "Now let's try cart wheels" Ana said and I went up to go check on Aiden.

Ana's POV

"Are you two coming with or no?" I said as I finished getting Annica ready and put her hair up in a bun. "Yeah we will go. Aiden bring your Nintendo Ds to play okay? It'll be an hour or so practice" Nate said. He nodded and grabbed it from the couch. We all head out to Nate's car and get in, heading to the community center. "Are you excited little one?" Nate asked Annica. "Daddy! I'm not little!" She fought. "You're almost four now answer my question" he laughed. "Yes daddy I am excited" she said. We pulled into the lot and all got out. "Gimme your hands" I told Aiden and Annica. Nate locked the car and grabbed mine and Aidens hands. "Uh yeah where is the gymnastics class being held?" I questioned as we walked inside. "Down that hall and it's the first door on the right. It's hard to miss" she smiled at us. "Hi I'm Miss Amber and I'll be your coach! Even though you all saw me a couple days ago. This must be......Annica Maloley?" She said going down her list. Annica nodded, smiling. "Hi sweetie. Since your already dressed, go ahead and put your shoes over there and we can start, okay?" She said. Annica smiled and ran over the wall lauding her shoes off. "Has she been practicing her back bends and all of that?" Miss Amber asked. We nodded. "She's been working hard" Nate smiled. She nodded and left to start the class. "Aiden" I said. "Yes mama?" He looked up from his game. "What do you want to do for your birthday?" I smiled. "Your birthday is first!" He argued. "Yes I know that but I don't need parties anymore. What do you wanna do?" He shrugged. "Well think on it. You still have a few days" I smiled. "I can't believe my little baby is going to be eight" I whispered to Nate. "Yeah I know" he chuckled lightly. "Your gonna be 29 though" Nate smirked. "Stooppppp!" I giggled. "I'm just saying babygirl" he laughed. "Look at her go!" I said pouting at Annica. "She's doing so well" I said in awe. Nate was oddly quiet. "Baby are you even watching her?" I asked. I looked over and he was looking at me(like pic above). "What?" I giggled. "You're so amazed" he smiled kissing my cheek.

Tumbling was now over and Annica ran over with her shoes, "Did you see me daddy!" She yelled, jumping in his arms. He kissed her cheek as I grabbed Aidens hand, walking out to the car. "I did, angel. I'm proud of you!" He smiled. "Let's get some ice cream and go home?" I said. The kids nodded and got into the car. I stopped at the little ice cream shop near our house ordering every ones favorite flavor, Nate's being chocolate chip cookie dough, Aidens being Vanilla with very little sprinkles, Annica's as Chocolate and mine mint chocolate chip. I rand back to the car, carefully to not spill the ice cream. Here ya go munchkin and giant munchkin" I smiled handing Aiden and Annica there's first, then Nate's. "Thank you mommy" the kids said. I nodded. "Yeah thank you mommy" Nate said. I smiled at him as he fed me some of his ice cream, pulling out of the parking lot and back home. "Baby Johnson and his sis are coming by the house. Same with Swift & Lexi and maybe Sam and Julianna" Nate said reading his phone. "Oh. Okay" I laughed. "What about G?" I said, "He's with some girl he met the other day" he smirked. "Uh errrrrr baby G has a crush?" I giggled. "I think. We don't know for sure" he laughed.

"Uncle Sammy, Uncle JJ!" The kids screamed as they saw cars pull up. "And Swift" I giggled. "UNCLE JOHNSS!" Annica went wild. "Woah uh hey there Annica" he chuckled walking in with Lexi. "Hey Lexi!" I waved. "Hey" she giggled. "Sorry the kids have toys all over" I huffed trying to pick up some of them. "No worries." They laughed. "Hey John" I said giving him a hug. "Hey, how you been?" He asked. "Been good, how bout yourself?" I asked. He smiled at Lexi, "I've been good myself" he smirked. "Ayyyooo" I heard Sammy's voice as he wakes into the house too. "Hello there Samuel" I smiled as he hugged me. "Hey sis" he said kissing the top of my head. "Hey girl" I said hugging Julianna. "I see an Annica with a young swazz" Sam said. Annica screamed and hid in Swifts shoulder. John chuckled and handed Annica to Sam. The doorbell rang and Nate grabbed it. "You're seriously the only one who just doesn't walk in" I laughed and hugged Johnson. "Hi Mayesa" I smiled hugging her too. "donde esta Aiden?" Sam asked. Good question Samuel. "Aiden bug, where you at bud?" I yelled. I went upstairs and heard my little boy sniffling. "Buddy what's wrong?" I said kneeling down to him. He was hugging his knees. "I-I fell on the s-sidewalk w-when we got h-home and I w-wanted to s-show it d-didn't hurt b-but mommy l-look" he stuttered, sobbing on my shoulder. I looked down at his knees, seeing nothing but blood running down his leg. "Oh baby! It's okay to cry, you know" I told him. "mommy cries, Annica cries, even daddy and your uncles cry. It's okay baby" I told him, wiping his tears away. I grabbed the first aid kit from my bathroom and set him on the counter, cleaning up his knees. I put a Minion bandaid on both knees and kissed his cheek. "Come on, we have people looking for you" I told him. He nodded, wanting me to carry him. "Baby boy your almost 8 your heavy for mommy" I giggled lifting him into my arms and setting him on my hip. "There's the big guy" Sam smiled. "He was crying?" Nate asked, probably seeing Aidens red puffy face. I nodded. "Let him be, he's okay now. I don't want him starting again" I said. "Aiden, baby why don't you go give hugs to everyone and then you can come sit on my lap?" I whispered to him. He nodded. He walked around hugging everyone, walking back over to me on the couch. I sat him on my lap and rubbed his back while he layed his head on my shoulder. "He alright?" Mayesa asked. I nodded. "He'll be alright" I smiled. She smiled back and say back by Johnson. Nate sat on the arm of the couch next to me. "Are yall free like next week Saturday?" I asked. They all nodded and shrugged. "If not I'm sure I can make myself free" john said nudging Lexi playfully. "Hey! What's that suppose to mean?" She pouted. I let out a laugh. "Only kidding babygirl" he  said  kissing her cheek. "I only asked cause we are doing something for my baby boys 8th birthday but we haven't come to any agreements yet." I said. They all nodded. "I could take him clubbing" Sam offered. I gasped and Julianna hit his arm lightly. "Samuel!" I said. He chuckled and shrugged. Nate laughed and reached for his pocket as it sounded for a text. "Who is it baby?" I asked. He squinted at the screen.

"It's G," he said. "Him and Madison are dating, now."
