"Nate you're always on your phone," I groaned, standing up from the couch. "And?" He said in a questionable tone. "I give up with you. If all your going to do is keep secrets then this "marriage" is to going to work out" I said. He locked his phone and looked up. "You can't be serious right now!" He yelled. "Well you know what, I am. I'm so over you pushing me and your kids away. You shut us out and act like we don't exist, when we literally are right in front of you" I said, earning nothing from him. "See! You aren't even listening to me!" I yelled throwing whatever I had in my hands away from me. "Don't get violent with me" he said. "Violent? Are you fucking serious?" I laughed.
3 hours later
Nate and I have been arguing for a straight 3 hours and both of us have gotten....nowhere. I was starting to get overly stressed out and I can tell he was too. I stood up and waked myself out to the backyard. I heard Nates footsteps behind me. "Don't. Touch. Me" I said through my teeth. "Mama dont" he whispered. "You promised we wouldn't ever get like this" I mumbled. "I know I did" he said. "Then why the hell are we" I said sitting in the grass. "Because life does crazy things" he said looking at his phone. "Put that fu.cking phone away Nathan" I said. He still looked down at it. I laughed at how he was acting. "You know what. I'm gonna go stay with Sam. I can't keep trying with someone who puts no effort in making things work" I said waking back inside, making my way upstairs to pack my bag. Once I reached the top, I felt a sting on my wrist and the grip tighten. "You are not leaving!" He yelled. "Watch me," I seethed, pulling my arm back. I watched as a tear dripped down his face, almost feeling sorry. But at the same time, he's bringing this in himself.
Nates POV:
Flashback two weeks ago :
"Tyler we can't do this. I can't do this." I said to the girl that I met at Derek's party. Ana was at home sick with the kids. "But we can baby. Nobody is stopping us?" She said questioning my uneasiness. "Ty, I have a wife and three kids. I can't" I insisted. "Nobody but us will know." She smirked. "I'll be upstairs if you change your mind?" She said in more of a question tone. I sipped on the liquid in my solo cup and watched all of the sweaty bodies dance in sync. I laughed at the girl dancing on the table, as she trips over air and falls. She got up giggling, "IM OKAY!" she yelled. 'Good to know?' I though to myself.
"Ah, Nathan. You changed your mind?" Tyler smirked. "I think so. But like you said, nobody but us will know" I said. And we all know what happened after that.Flashback over. -----
I'm letting the one girl I've ever loved walk away. How can I be so stupid?! "You are not leaving!" I yelled, gripping her wrist tightly. "Watch me," she seethed, pulling her arm away from me and carrying on her way. "Anastasia Mae Maloley. I will not let you walk away again! I know I've fucked things up many times before and I'm not the smartest guy around but there's one thing I know for sure. You are the ONLY, I'll repeat it, THE ONLY, girl I have ever actually loved, like love as in what we have. I can't let you do this" I pleaded as I watched her pack a bag. "Too bad. I called Sam and he already has a room for me" she breathed. "Just tell me one thing, before I do leave" she said facing me. "Anything." I said. "Who is she?" She said. "Who?" I said. "Don't try me. Who the hell is she?!" she yelled obviously mad now. "Ana I-" she chuckled, "I knew it" she mumbled grabbing everything she had. "I'll be back whenever" she said walking out.
Anas POV
"Sam I don't know what to do! I love him too much for divorce but I'm so overly pissed off that divorce is the only option" I cried. He nodded. "Ana I see the way you both look at eachother but is divorce necessary?" He asked. "Sam he cheated!" I yelled. He sighed. "You got me there. It's not like him though. Not now atleast. Maybe back in highschool before he met you" he said. "I just want everything back the way it was, you know? Like the day I moved in to that house and you guys walked in like nothing? Those days" i sighed. "Sometimes I wish I waited to even get married and have kids but I guess life had other choices for me." I said. "do you have water?" I asked as my throat dried up. He nodded, standing up and walking to the kitchen. He returned with a bottle of cold water. I opened it and sipped on it slowly. "I'm so sorry this is happening Ana, you don't deserve it" he told me. "Stop, I don't want a pity party" I giggled. "You deserve one though" he laughed with me. "I'm gonna go lay down for a bit. If the kids ask where I am, I'm asleep?" I said. He nodded, "I'll be here. And if for whatever reason Nate shows up, I'll tell him to leave. Okay? Unless you say otherwise, that is" I smiled and nodded.
Sam's POV
"Hey baby," I smiled as Julianna came in with Aubrey and my niece and nephew. "Where's mom?" Annica asked sitting by me. "She's sleeping right now, so let's let her have that time okay?" I said taking Aubrey into my arms. "My little girls is getting so big," I whispered, kissing her forehead earning a giggle from her small mouth. "Uncle Sammy, can I has some of these?" Ethan pointed at the pretzels. I laughed, "Only if you can use proper English when you ask me, sure." I smiled. Annica rested her head on my shoulder, scrolling on her phone. "How you holding up? He didn't need you anyways" I told her. "I miss him but honestly, I feel like I should be hurting more" she told me. I nodded and wrapped my arm around her and kissed the top of her head. "You'll always have your uncles!" I laughed. She smiled, playing with Aubreys hands. "Yeah, and I'm forever thankful for you all" she said. "Baby? Someone's car just pulled up the drive?" Julianna said confused. Shit. I stood up, placing Aubrey in Annicas lap. Which, of course, she started crying because she was out of my arms. Pft, she's such a daddy's girl. "Nate?" I asked as I looked at the figure in front of me. He nodded, wiping his teared eyes. "Where is she?" He asked. "No clue. She's staying here but she isn't here right at this moment." I said leaning on the door. "Bullshit I know she is" he groaned. "Now tell me. Where is she?" He demanded. "Dude she's not here! It's just me, my wife and daughter, and your two kids. That's it!" I yelled. "Yeah dad she's not here" Annica stepped in, emphasizing dad. "You, you stay out of this!" Nate screamed. "DONT FUCKING YELL AT YOUR OWN DAUGHTER LIKE THAT!" I yelled. Annica backed up with the baby in her arms, pulling Ethan to her waist. "I can't believe you," she whispered, taking both of them upstairs. I shook my head, "Go home, Nate. She's not here and you're scaring your own kids" I told him. "I know she's here, damnit! Just let me talk to her!" He yelled."Nathan, just go" Ana's voice said from the stairs. "Babygirl just talk to me!" He cried. "No. Not after you just screamed in front of your kids. Do you realize how scared they are right now?" She asked. "Or even how scared I am?" She added. "Ana-" she laughed silently. "Will you tell me who she is now?" He remained silent. "I hate you," she mumbled waked up the stairs again.
And just like that, everything changed.
