Chapter 44

Today was the day Ethan was coming over so we all can go out to eat. "Mom does this look alright?" Annica asked me, walking into Nate and I's bathroom where I was getting ready. She had on a Black skater skirt with a white crop top, and her hair was lightly curled. "It's amazing babe. You look adorable" I said smiling. I grabbed my phone and went to Snapchat, taking a selfie with her. "mama and daughter goals¿😜". Once it sent, there was a knock on the door. "Oh no. Dad can't answer that!" She squealed. "I GOT IT!" She yelled. "Nathan Montgomery, Ethan James! You boys better be dressed and downstairs in five!" I yelled fixing my outfit. I walked down the stairs, seeing this boy smiling with Annica. "You must be Ethan?" I smiled. He nodded, "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Maloley" he said. "Call me Ana, Ethan" I smiled. He nodded and smiled too. "Well, come in, make yourself at home" I said. "NATHAN! ETHAN!" I yelled. Ethan shot up. "No no, not you. My youngest is named Ethan" I laughed. He chuckled and sat back down. "I'm coming mama!" Ethan yelled. Nate was trailing behind him buttoning his shirt. "You must be Ethan" Nate said, smiling his big smile. "Nice to meet you, sir" Ethan said standing up to shake Nates hand. "Call me Nate" he said. "I am Ethan" my Ethan smiled proudly. "And I am Ethan also" he chuckled. "YOU HAVE MY NAME?!" Ethan shouted. "Inside voices baby" I laughed brushing his hair. Annica laughed at his reaction, "I like you" Ethan told him.

"Thank you for having me tonight. I enjoyed it" Ethan told us. "Anytime. You're always welcome around here" I said hugging him. "Haha sweet. I'll see you guys later then" he said walking out. "I'll come too" Annica said. She stepped outside, shutting the door behind her and walking down the driveway. "He's a nice kid" I smiled at Nate. "He's got a lot of respect. I like that" he smiled. "I approve" he said brushing his hand on my cheek. Annica came back in with a small smile. "We approve" I smiled. "really?" She asked. Nate nodded. "He's got a lot of respect and is a very nice kid" he smiled. "He's pretty cool" she laughed.

Annicas POV

I smiled as I texted Ethan. He's so sweet. We started as bestfriends in kindergarten.

-Flashback-

"Hi! I'm Ethan!" He yelled in my face. I looked at him with a smile, "I'm Annica!" I giggled. He sat down next to me, "Where did you get those crackers?" He asked confused. I sipped my juice from the water bottle mom packed, "oh my mom put them in here for me. Would you like some?" I smiled. "Sure, thanks" he smiled back. We sat eating crackers and laughing nonstop, just not when the teacher was talking. "I think we will be bestfriends. I like you. Nobody ever talks to me, besides my brother" he says. "We will be bestfriends. I'll always be your friend" I smiled.

-Flashback Over-

Present, Freshman year; History class

"No way!! Ethan? Is that you?!" I said happily, wrapping my arms around him. He wrapped his arms loosely around my waste. "It's me, Annica. I thought I'd never see you again" he whispered. "How are you and Grayson?" I asked. He smiled at me, "Great, just tryin to get through, ya know?" He smiled down at me. I nodded, "Understandable. I still can't believe we have history together! What's your schedule look like?" I asked. He grabbed it from his back pocket and handed it to me. I looked at mine, then his. "Holy shit, this must be a typo" I stated. "What is?" He said, confused. "We have every class together" I smiled. "God damn, I missed you and your cute ass" he said with a smirk.
